‘Brilliant deal’… Wolves fans think Vitor Pereira could potentially sign an absolute ‘bargain’

Wolves are facing one of their biggest summers in years, and it has started with a number of players leaving the club.

Matheus Cunha has already left Wanderers, joining Manchester United on June 1.

But several players have since followed, with Craig Dawson and Pablo Sarabia both to depart as free agents, and Carlos Forbs heading back to Ajax after his loan move.

But Wolves will make another sale very imminently, with Rayan Ait-Nouri passing his Manchester City medical.

And there has already been some talk about potential replacements.

Molineux News understands Clement Bischoff is a target for Wolves having impressed at Brondby.

Hugo Bueno, of course, is also an option for Wolves to bring back into the fold after his loan at Feyenoord.

But another player who has just been linked with Wolves in Gerard Martin of Barcelona.

It’s been reported Barcelona may demand around £10 million to sell Martin and, amid the speculation, Wolves fans have been discussing his potential transfer on social media.

Martin enjoyed something of a breakout season with Barcelona in 2024/25.

He made 42 appearances for the club, and recently impressed in the Spanish giants’ Champions League semi-final against Inter.

Wolves will soon need to respond when the Ait-Nouri deal goes through.

And potentially, Martin may well represent a bargain at just £10 million.

On social media, some Wolves fans would really like to sign a move for the 23-year-old sanctioned.

@LG__88 said: “Brilliant deal. Poor defensively but excels going forwards.”

@SamCl0ver said: “Would be great to see him and Bueno rotate in that spot.”

@PatrickCodring2 added: “Just over ten million quid, that sounds like a price even Jeff couldn’t complain about.”

@callum_wwfc1 added: “Need to get this sorted, great deal.”

Martin would still be a risk for Wolves

£10 million isn’t much money in today’s market, but Martin would still be a bit of a risk for Wolves.

He hasn’t long been on the scene at Barcelona, and some have questioned why Barca would value him so low.

But there’s something to be said for Martin from a creativity standpoint.

Ait-Nouri was one of Wolves’ most creative players and ideally, Wanderers would be signing someone capable of providing goals and assists like he did.

In 42 appearances for Barca, Martin has scored one goal and made six assists, so a goal contribution every six matches from left-back, which isn’t too bad.
