Barcelona forward Martin Braithwaite was linked with a move to Wolves over the weekend.
Yesterday, it was claimed that Jorge Mendes was driving the interest from Molineux.
But he isn’t Braithwaite’s agent, Hasan Cetinkaya is. And as per Mundo Deportivo, he’s had his say on the rumours.
He hasn’t held back at all on Mendes, and claims Braithwaite will still be a Barcelona player by the end of the summer despite the financial issues at the Nou Camp.

“All these stories are false,” he said. “Jorge Mendes has nothing to do with Martin Braithwaite.
“Jorge Mendes has no players in Barcelona. In Wolverhampton he can concentrate, but I take care of my players in Barcelona.
“Why should Martin move to Wolverhampton, and why should an agent who has no players in Barcelona try to bring my player to Wolverhampton?
“Even though I know Jorge Mendes has good connections with clubs like Wolverhampton, it’s a waste of everyone’s time. Martin will continue in Barcelona.”

The response of some Wolves fans to the rumour indicated that they weren’t keen on signing Braithwaite anyway.
So these comments won’t be too much skin off their nose. And Braithwaite isn’t the usual age profile for a Wolves signing anyway.
The need for Barcelona to cut their wage bill and save money means there will be rumours about almost all their players this summer.
But these latest comments make it seem very unlikely that Braithwaite will move to Molineux.
