Wolves were one of Europe’s busiest clubs on transfer Deadline Day. The Premier League side made two new signings just hours before the window closed.
Vitor Pereira will be pleased with the business Wolves’ owners were able to complete before the window’s registration cut-off.
The Old Gold brought in two new players after bidding farewell to Mario Lemina, who joined Galatasaray.
Centre-back Nasser Djiga joined Wolves from Red Star on a five-and-a-half-year contract in a deal worth £10 million.
And following Lemina’s exit, it was vital Pereira got a new defensive midfielder. After agreeing to a £16.6 million deal with Stade Reims, Marshall Munetsi joined Wolves on a three-and-a-half-year contract (including a one-year option).

Fans react to Wolves signing Marshall Munetsi
Munetsi, who is 28-years-old, has become the second player to arrive at Molineux from Stade Reims in the winter window.
Emmanuel Agbadou was announced as Wolves’ first signing of the window last month. The commanding centre-back, who has quickly become a fan-favourite, joined from Stade Reims for £16.6 million — the same fee as Munetsi.
And here’s how fans have reacted to the Zimbabwe international’s arrival on social media.
Early comparisons
Munetsi will have to make the step up if he is to impress in the notoriously fast-paced and physical Premier League, but some fans believe he has the attributes to do it.
The African’s profile is exactly what Pereira has been looking for. He’s tall, commanding, fairly technical and very box-to-box.
Three years younger than Lemina, Munetsi looks to be an upgrade on Wolves’ departed former captain.
In fact, some fans believe Munetsi’s qualities match those of some pretty big footballing names.
Obviously, Wolves’ new signing, is nowhere near the level of Zinedine Zidane and Yaya Toure, but there is definitely some excitement around the impact he can have — especially in a three-man midfield also including Andre and Joao Gomes.
If Munetsi can go on to have just one per cent of the impact Zidane and Toure had at their clubs, Old Gold fans will be delighted.
