Wolves face fierce competition in their bid to sign Kevin Danso, with interest in France and England listed.
The Old Gold have had two bids rejected for Danso by RC Lens, who have already sold half of their defensive partnership this winter.
Wolves have been eyeing a defensive signing since Emmanual Agbadou’s arrival, with the race to sign Danso now heating up.
Rennes are also in the picture to sign Danso, presenting several options to the player who could be on the move this winter.

Aston Villa could move for Wolves target Kevin Danso after transfer fail
While Lens have been clear on their asking price for Danso, it’s not only reaching an agreement with the club Wolves will be wary of.
Rival club in the transfer race, Rennes, are willing to increase Danso’s salary, putting pressure on the Old Gold to respond appropriately.
The Premier League is a peak selling point for Wolves in their bid to sign the Austrian however, they’re not the only ones who can present the English project to the defender.
Aston Villa are also eyeing Danso, which could cause problems for Wolves given the latest instalment of transfer news.
According to Sky Sports journalist Lyall Thomas, Villa are ‘unlikely’ to secure a move for primary target Juan Foyth, which could prompt Unai Emery to look elsewhere.
Wolves come into the frame as the Daily Mail have reported that ‘Danso is an option’ for Villa if they ‘fail’ to capture either Foyth or Axel Disasi.
As a move for Foyth now looks to be out of reach, Wolves must be attentive to what their Midlands rivals are plotting to do regarding Danso.
Wolves must wrap up Danso deal
Given how short Vitor Pereira is in defence, a deal for Danso must be approached with urgency as other clubs are closing in on the Austria international.
Wolves have been long-term admirers of Danso, making the prospect of missing out on the 26-year-old a travesty, particularly if it were Villa who ruined the plans.
Danso admitted that he wants to play in European competition, something that Villa can offer if Wolves allow their rivals to get a foot in the door of negotiations.
With an asking price and a means to improve the Austrian’s salary, Wolves have all the tools to get the transfer over the line.
