Wolves could face great competition for one player they scouted this week at Euro 2024.
Gary O’Neil currently has three of his players in action at Euro 2024, with Pedro Neto, Jose Sa and Nelson Semedo all on show for Portugal.
The Wolves stars reached the quarter-finals with a penalty shoot-out win against Slovenia on Monday, extending the trio’s stay in Germany before heading back to Compton.
While the club will have had an eye on their representatives at the tournament, they aren’t the only players that have been monitored, with scouts in attendance to view one star on Tuesday evening.

Wolves sent scouts to watch Ferdi Kadioglu but Arsenal have now been told to sign him
Earlier this week, it was reported that Wolves had scouts watching Ferdi Kadioglu during Turkey’s Round of 16 clash with Austria.
The 24-year-old shone during Turkey’s 2-1 victory to carry them to the quarter-final, playing 90 minutes at left-wing-back for Vincenzo Montella’s side.
While Wolves’ representatives in attendance would have been wowed by the defender’s display, the Old Gold weren’t the only club with scouts tracking the fullback.
Prior to the game, it was reported that Stuttgart, Bayer Leverkusen, Arsenal, West Ham, Fulham, Atletico Madrid and Valencia were also eyeing Kadioglu.
If Wolves’ competition wasn’t fierce enough before, it may have just been turned up a notch, as news in Turkey has relayed that one Turkish journalist has urged the Gunners to sign the Fenerbahce ace.
Turkish outlet Ajansspor reported the comments of Fatih Dogan during the game, who told Arsenal to spend €50m (£42m) on the left-back.
“The Arsenal team, who came to follow Ferdi, who is, in my opinion, the best left-back of the tournament yesterday, should have given a report saying, ‘Let’s pay 50 million Euros and get him right away.’”
Why are so many clubs monitoring Kadioglu?
Those in attendance to view Kadioglu would not have left uninspired, as the Turkey international dazzled.
It wasn’t an unusual performance level for the versatile defender, who was lauded as a “superstar” by talent scout Jacek Kulig back in 2020 for his rise at Fenerbahce.
Ferdi Kadioglu performance in numbers v Austria
71 touches
1 key pass
50% dribbles completed
88% passes completed
100% crosses completed
3 fouls won
6 tackles
10/14 duel wins
The defender, who excels in the art of playing the wing-back role, can do it all, as displayed by his numbers during Turkey’s win over Austria at the Euros.
It’s unsurprising that so many clubs are eyeing the 24-year-old, who has certainly shown his worth on the world stage for his country so far this tournament.
The only negative is that Wolves will have to push incredibly hard if they are to attempt to lure Kadioglu to Molineux, with Arsenal instructed to make a serious move.
