Wolves look poised to lose one rarely-seen player on loan this summer, as journalist Alan Nixon has claimed.
Gary O’Neil is working tirelessly with his squad to ensure progression is evident at Wolves next season.
The Old Gold are currently in the United States, embarking on their pre-season tour, seeing the three new arrivals get the chance to gel with their teammates.
As well as those just arriving at the club are those likely to leave before deadline day, with one player’s future now speculated.

Wolves defender Ki-Jana Hoever linked with Sheffield United loan
Currently in the United States with the squad is Ki-Jana Hoever, who rejoined his parent club following a season-long loan spell at Stoke City.
The Dutchman has spent the past year and a half of his playing career with the Potters, impressing in the Championship away from Molineux.
Now 22, there was some debate over where Hoever stands in O’Neil’s squad, having never played under the manager competitively.
It looks as though staying at Wolves to push for a breakthrough is unlikely once more, with journalist Alan Nixon suggesting that a return to the Championship is on the cards.
Nixon replied to a fan asking who Sheffield United could be signing on loan ‘early this week’, to which The Sun reporter replied, “Does look like Hoever…he is one anyway.”
After signing from Liverpool in 2020, Hoever has made just 25 senior appearances for Wolves, with his aim to reach the first team now set to take another diversion.
Where does Hoever’s future lie after 2024/25 loan?
It’s been a difficult time at Wolves for Hoever, who is yet to really breakthrough in the first team, despite impressing on several loans.
The dynamic right-back has all the skills in his locker to thrive under O’Neil however, the club see a different path for the Dutchman.

Given that the defender’s contract at Molineux expires in 2026, the tale of his 2024/25 loan, proposed to be at Sheffield United, could be critical to his future and Wolves’ finances.
Should the 22-year-old consistently impress with the Blades in the Championship, the Old Gold could look to finally reintegrate him into the squad or, find a suitable buyer to offload him.
With just two years left on his contract, there will be great hope that Hoever can have a consistent season at Bramall Lane in order to give a refreshed scope on his future.
