Wolves’ squad could be looking quite different for 2025/26, with a number of players set to leave the club in the next transfer window.
Several players are out of contract in the summer.
Nelson Semedo is likely to leave Wolves, and Pablo Sarabia could also follow the captain out. Craig Dawson will also move on.
But then Wolves could sell a few players on top, with Matheus Cunha, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Sam Johnstone all linked with exits.
But there has now been a suggestion that Jose Sa could yet leave Wolves this summer.
Jose Sa suggested as possible Wolves exit this summer

Wolves had a somewhat peculiar goalkeeper situation earlier in the season.
The club went out and signed Sam Johnstone from Crystal Palace for a fee of around £10 million, which suggested he’d instantly become the new number one.
That did happen initially, but Sa – who cost Wolves just under £7 million in 2021 (Sky Sports) – reclaimed his place.
Johnstone did then make odd appearances here and there, but under Pereira, Sa has been the number one choice. Apart from against Manchester United, when he got injured in the warm up, Sa has played every Premier League game since his compatriot came in, indicating he is a big fan of him.
But that does not mean he’ll be staying this summer.
Journalist Liam Keen said on the E&S podcast: “I think there’s definitely a chance that there’s movement there in the summer – I don’t think it’s 100% that Jose Sa sticks around.
“I don’t think it can be the priority – I think there’s other things Wolves have to look at first. And when you couple that in with Bentley as well. Can Wolves afford to spend a summer totally changing their goalkeeping department and losing Johnstone, Sa and Bentley all in one summer – I’m not sure that would be necessarily a wise decision.”
Wolves should consider signing a new number one goalkeeper
Wolves will have a lot to do in the next transfer window, and arguably a new goalkeeper should not be a priority.
But the club shouldn’t rule out looking at new number ones.
Sa – who Kevin De Bruyne once surprisingly picked in a dream five-a-side team – is a proven Premier League goalkeeper, but we all know that he can make rash decisions sometimes. That said, there has not really been too much chaos with him since Pereira arrived.
But if Wolves are to push on to the next level, then a new number one should be considered. Yahia Fofana is a player Wolves are thought to be interested in.
But if Sa was happy to stick around, other positions should take priority.
