Wolves are being strongly linked with a move for Nico Elvedi – and a pretty encouraging report has come out of Germany today.
Wanderers are seeking to add another centre-back to the squad, after selling Nathan Collins to Brentford.
Julen Lopetegui is down to just three options at the moment.
But it looks as though they may have found one in the form of Borussia Monchengladbach star Elvedi.
The Switzerland international was only linked for the first time yesterday.
And it looks like he has a real possibility of signing…
Wolves ‘will’ sign Nico Elvedi, as Gladbach eye midfielder
One of the biggest German publications Sport Bild are now reporting that Elvedi will sign for Wolves.
The bring previous quotes from Gladbach sporting director Roland Virkus, where he said that Elvedi and also Florian Neuhaus would either have to renew their contracts or be sold.

Both players only have a year left on their current deals and seemingly the desire is not to lose them for free.
Bild also mention that Gladbach currently have their eye on Fabian Rieder of Swiss outfit Young Boys.
The suggestion is that the sale of Elvedi can fund that move for the attacking midfielder.
Supposedly, the fee Wolves are set to pay Gladbach is somewhere around £7.7 million.
Elvedi to Wolves is gathering pace
It feels as though Wolves are now closing in on Elvedi.
This is quite a confident-sounding report from a big German publication, and it’s difficult to not conclude that something is happening.
Hopefully if that is the case, then Wolves can wrap it up as soon as possible.
We are now only a few weeks away from the new season and Lopetegui needs new faces through the door so he can bed them in.

One of the reasons Wolves struggled at the start of last season was arguably because business was done fairly late.
Only Collins really got a proper pre-season under his belt. with all the other players.
So hopefully, Elvedi, and also Matt Doherty, will complete moves this week.
