Wolves look set to sanction a couple more incomings before tonight’s 11pm transfer deadline – and one proposed signing could now result in one player leaving.
It has been a busy day at Wolves on the transfers front.
The club are set to offload Daniel Podence, with Al-Shabab set to land the winger ahead of Olympiacos.
Luke Cundle could also go, and Villarreal are trying to see about signing Goncalo Guedes, despite an earlier claim that the forward was almost certain to stay.
In the last hour, Wolves have reportedly made progress in their pursuit of winger Carlos Forbs. An agreement has now been reached between Wolves and Ajax for the player’s transfer.
But this proposed move could now result in the exit of Chiquinho.
Carlos Forbes coming in could mean Wolves loan out Chiquinho

It has been reported this afternoon by E&S journalist that Chiquinho could be on his way out of Molineux if the club land Forbs from Ajax.
Keen wrote on X: “As a result of this move, Chiquinho is being lined up for a potential loan move before the window slams shut at 11pm tonight.”
Keen added in a further message on X that Spanish club Mallorca stand to sign the winger if Forbs comes in.
Previously, the star – who was signed for £3 million – has been linked with the likes of Sporting CP and Braga.
Chiquinho made his second appearance of the season for Wolves on Wednesday night against Burnley in the Carabao Cup, which was also his first start.
The 24-year-old gave a good account of himself playing on the left, with many fans commenting afterward that they hoped he would now stay at the club.
Chiquinho leaving would be a shame
Although there is rightly a lot of excitement about the Forbs deal, it would be a bit of a shame to see the talented Chiquinho leave on loan.
The star gave a good impression the other night against Burnley, and has previously electrified fans at Molineux. Before his injury, many supporters were really taken by him and thought he could push to become a first-team regular.
He then suffered that serious knee injury, which halted his progress.
Wolves being happy to allow Chiquinho to go out on loan would surely suggest that Guedes will be sticking around.
