£35m Wolves star’s camp ‘very aware’ of one player situation at another club

The representatives of one Wolves player are said to be very aware of a situation at another club, in possible anticipation of a transfer move.

Fabio Silva is widely expected to leave Molineux this summer.

The striker spent the second half of last season on loan at Rangers in the hope of getting regular game time and scoring some goals.

Gary O’Neil used him a little bit to begin with, but quickly determined that Silva was not a player he could really count on.

Running up to January, the manager barely played him and as soon as the window opened, Silva departed. He moved to Ibrox, and made 25 appearances and scored six goals.

Rangers will not be buying Silva, and now Wolves are looking to find a buyer.

And there is one club that might be able to help.

Fabio Silva did not join the rest of the Wolves squad for the recent pre-season trip to Marbella.

That likely indicates that the player is not in O’Neil’s plans for the coming season. Interestingly though, another player who did not go to Marbella, Goncalo Guedes, did feature in Wolves’ training game against Bristol City at Compton Park.

So seemingly, Silva is free to find himself a new club.

And one club who have shown interest lately is Sevilla – and Estadio Deportivo have provided an update on the situation.

They say that there is a very real possibility Youssef En-Nesyri could be leaving the club soon, with Fenerbahce interested in the striker.

The Turkish giants, now managed by Jose Mourinho of course, are said to have put an offer of around £17 million down.

Silva is said to be a player Sevilla have liked for a long time.

And apparently, his camp are now watching the situation very closely and are very ‘aware’ of it.

Potential opportunity for Wolves to sell Silva

This will be a situation to watch, because Silva’s agent did recently stated that they were keen for his next move to either be to Italy or Spain.

It sounds as though Sevilla have had Silva on their radar for a while, so hopefully something will happen with En-Nesyri.

Silva’s transfer to Wolves remains truly baffling.

The club forked out £35.6 million for him back in 2020, making him one of the most expensive teenagers of all time.

He never chose that price tag and the pressure on him to deliver was a lot. But sadly he never looked suited to English football or likely to live up to expectation, and Wolves officials now need to expect to take a big hit on him.
