Speculation followed Silva for quite a while during the summer transfer window.
The youngster had enjoyed a productive spell at both Anderlecht and PSV Eindhoven.
But quite quickly, there were reports casting doubt on Silva staying at Wolves.
It was suggested that the club would listen to offers for him.
And there were also comments made by his agent to suggest that Silva was looking for a way out.
However, things changed and Silva ended up staying put.
Freiburg made enquiry over Wolves striker Fabio Silva
As per BILD, Freiburg did reach out to Wolves about a potential move for Silva.
They had felt there was potential for a deal to be done, because at the time Silva was being linked with an exit.

But the situation changed.
Wolves ultimately decided that they were not going to hear offers for Silva.
They wanted to keep hold of him, and Gary O’Neil was looking for him to play a big part this season.
Silva was initially open to the idea.
But seemingly he was happy to remain at Wolves because he’s received assurances about game time.
So far, he’s seen a good level of involvement for Wolves. He’s featured in all five of the club’s games, for a total of 306 minutes on the pitch.
Tough start for Silva, but keeping him was right move
After the season he had in 2023/24, it was the right decision to keep Silva.
The club invested a lot of money into him, and officials will be desperate for the move to work out.
Silva has had a bit of a tough start to the new season.

He’s missed some good chances, and against Crystal Palace on Saturday he was pretty ineffective.
But he’ll hopefully improve as the season goes on. He has the belief of the manager and the support of the fans. it may just be a matter of time before it clicks.
