Wolves full-back Rayan Ait-Nouri is reportedly in advanced talks with OGC Nice to join them on loan.
The Algeria international really struggled at Molineux in 2023, with Julen Lopetegui leaving him out of a string of matchday squads.
Ait-Nouri seemingly struggled to make an impression on the Spaniard.
He got off to a great start, winning Wolves’ Player of the Month award for December following some great cameos off the bench.
But after the 2-1 defeat to Newcastle United, it all went downhill for Ait-Nouri.
In total so far, he’s made just five starts under Lopetegui.
As a result, there has been some speculation about his future.
He’s featured in both of Wolves’ pre-season games against Vitoria and Farense so far.
But it is now being claimed that he could be about to depart.
Rayan Ait-Nouri in advanced talks to join OGC Nice on loan
According to Le10 Sport, Ait-Nouri is now firmly on the radar of Nice.

The French club are apparently advancing with a loan-to-buy offer for the 22-year-old.
Talks are due to be finalised in the coming days, and there is optimism from Nice that a deal will get done.
They’ve liked him for a while, and even made an unsuccessful attempt at signing him during the January transfer window.
It is also mentioned by Le10 Sport that Marseille are showing some interest in the £10 million man.
Wolves would be mad to sanction this move
Like the Sarabia to Galatasaray link, this is a very bold claim from Le10 Sport.
Ait-Nouri may not be in favour right now at Molineux. But this would be such a silly move by the club.
Ait-Nouri has huge potential, and Wolves should be making interested clubs pay up now.
A loan move does not help them in the current climate. Wolves are said to need player sales to help them with their financial problems.
Ait-Nouri either needs to be kept and given more game time, or sold.

And if the decision is to sell, then the club must ensure they get a transfer fee that accurately reflects the player’s high potential.
In an ideal world he won’t be going anywhere, and he will turn things around and get back on track at Molineux.
