Wolves’ survival hopes took a big hit this weekend, despite the club not even playing in the Premier League.
Vitor Pereira’s side lost to Bournemouth in the FA Cup, coming up short in a penalty shootout.
But the biggest frustration for Wolves was the red card for Matheus Cunha.
Cunha saw red, and received red, for fighting with Milos Kerkez, kicking, punching and headbutting the full-back.
This happened just before the shootout, in which Cunha would surely have taken a spot-kick.
Cunha is now set to miss Wolves’ next three games.
It’s not thought Cunha’s previous ban will affect his punishment this time around, but fans are certainly concerned the FA could throw the book at him.
Cunha being unavailable is disastrous for Wolves – and one statistic shows just how reliant Wanderers have been on their number 10.
The statistic that shows how important Matheus Cunha has been for Wolves

Cunha is essentially the face of Wolves these days.
When Wolves do something good, the Brazilian has often been a big contributor.
And one statistic reported by iNews really does hammer home how important this player actually is.
Cunha, simply put, has been a massive contributor for Wolves this season – potentially bigger than people realise.
Worryingly, Wolves have not won a league game this season when Cunha has not scored.
And Wolves have picked up just two points in matches where Cunha has not provided a goal or assist. He has been involved in 17 of Wolves’ 37 league goals so far, meaning he accounts for 46% of the team’s whole tally.
Other Wolves players must now step up
These statistics are very worrying and definitely show how reliant Wolves have been on Cunha this season.
Wolves fans are bitterly disappointed in Cunha, and it remains to be seen if his actions will have major ramifications for the club.

Pereira now needs other players to stand up and be counted for in the Brazilian’s absence.
There will be a particularly big focus on Jorgen Strand Larsen – Wolves’ second-highest top scorer. The Norway international has come in for criticism recently, and has got to try and rediscover his mojo.
There will also be pressure on the likes of Goncalo Guedes, Pablo Sarabia and Hwang Hee-chan to deliver as experienced attacking players.
