Adama Traore’s record at Wolves and Fulham compared

Despite being an Aston Villa player earlier in his career, Adama Traore joined Wolves from Middlesbrough in 2018 for roughly £20 million.

He played three-and-a-half seasons at Molineux before returning to Barcelona — the club he started his career with — for the second half of the 2022-23 campaign.

After scoring just one goal in 21 games, Barcelona decided against signing the winger permanently — forcing him back to the Midlands.

During Traore’s five years with the Old Gold, he recorded 32 direct goal contributions from just under 200 matches.

The pacey winger averaged less than 0.10 for goals and assists per game throughout his time in the Midlands — a long way off the numbers the club expected from him when they made the decision to sign him.

Consequently, Traore was allowed to join Fulham on a free transfer in 2023.

Far from a regular starter, Marco Silva has preferred to use the Spaniard as an impact option.

Traore’s numbers are close to where they were during his time with Wolves but a cost-effective signing for the Londoners has meant there has been less pressure on him to perform.
