Wolves have surely got to look into the possibility of re-signing Vitinha, after another dazzling display for the Portugal U21s.

The midfielder was in action against Cyprus on Friday evening in their latest Euro 2023 qualifier, with Portugal running out 1-0 winners thanks to a Goncalo Ramos goal.

My Revenge On Ben Foster

It was a tricky game for Portugal, but they got the job done and recorded their fourth straight win in the process.

And it was another wonderful performance from Vitinha in midfield.

The 21-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Molineux of course, was superb in possession.

One of the best things he did in the game was when he carried the ball from his own half and beat four players before playing in Fabio Vieira, who unfortunately couldn’t convert.

It would have been a world-class assist, but it was fantastic play nonetheless.

His performance is just the latest in what has been a really good season for him so far.

At FC Porto he is now a regular in the side after starting the season on the bench.

WhoScored have him as the sixth highest-rated player in the whole Portuguese league so far.

Wolves must consider trying to re-sign Vitinha

One can’t help but think about how Vitinha would fare at Wolves if he came back.

He should have got more opportunities under Nuno Espirito Santo, who was often stubborn with his team selections.

Vitinha is a wonderful talent, who is now starting to thrive because he actually has managers that trust him.

He might not fancy a return to Molineux, but Wolves would be fools not to at least look into it.

Especially with Joao Moutinho not getting any younger, and Wolves having just the three midfield options at present.

Wolves declined to chance to sign him in the summer, and Fosun must surely look to put things right in January.

Supposedly a Wolves scout watched him recently. So perhaps there could be some movement in January.
