The early stages of this transfer window suggest Wolves are going to be busy signing several new players.
Wolves are already close to unveiling their first signing of this month as Emmanuel Agbadou agreed on a transfer to Molineux.
Arriving from Ligue 1 side Reims, Agbadou will sign a 4.5-year contract at Wolves having completed his medical, with Vitor Pereira landing a vital centre-back target.
The business isn’t going to stop there, though, as Wolves have their eyes on another centre-back after the 27-year-old, resulting in links to Chelsea’s Renato Veiga and Brazilian wonderkid Vitor Reis.
However, there is one position that is being overlooked – and that is right back – with Pereira able to resolve that issue by looking at one Southampton star.

Wolves should try to sign Southampton’s Kyle Walker-Peters
Whilst it seems likely Nelson Semedo will sign a new contract at Wolves, the Portuguese international does turn 32 next year and could do with some competition.
Pedro Lima impressed on his Premier League debut on Monday night and he’s the current backup to Semedo.
However, Pereira could do with signing a versatile talent who boasts an array of top-flight experience, with Kyle Walker-Peters ticking that box.
Walker-Peters sees his contract at Southampton expire in June, leaving his future at St Mary’s in doubt, and Wolves should pounce at the opportunity to sign him on a cut-price deal.
The 27-year-old has appeared 18 times in the top flight this term and despite the Saints struggling at the bottom on six points, the Englishman has stood out.
As highlighted by FBref, Walker-Peters ranks in the top 1% of Premier League full-backs for progressive carries and the top 8% for successful take-ons, evincing his attacking quality.
The former England under-21 international also boasts an attribute that Pereira will love, giving Wolves an even bigger reason to snap him up.

Ralph Hasenhuttl once compared Walker-Peters to Philipp Lahm
It’s become clear so far that Pereira loves his defenders to be versatile. Matt Doherty has slotted into the back three like a glove after playing wing-back for many years.
Meanwhile, Rodrigo Gomes is now flourishing as a left wing-back, despite Gary O’Neil refusing to him in that role and instead playing him as a winger.
Walker-Peters has also displayed such versatility across his career, with the Saints dynamo showing his capabilities as a right back, left back and midfielder.
It’s an ability to adapt that saw former boss Ralph Hasenhuttl compare him to the great Philipp Lahm, who won multiple Bundesliga titles with Bayern Munich and captained Germany to the World Cup.
Speaking in February 2022, as quoted by the Daily Echo, Hasenhuttl said: “We brought Kyle on the 10, a good opportunity and the first time we did it this way. I think this can be also something for the future.
“Kyle is an unbelievably smart footballer with a super football intelligence. He plays, left-back, right-back and now on the 10.
“In the sessions sometimes he plays six also, so he can play every position.
“He reminds me a little bit of Phillipp Lahm I must say, because he is so good on the ball, he always has good decisions. He can run and makes nearly any mistakes.
“He is getting better and better and this is what you need on this position.”
