Wolves had real trouble on the goalscoring front last season.
The club finished the Premier League campaign with the fourth-lowest goals for tally, with only the relegated clubs having worse.
For one reason or another, it just didn’t really click for Bruno Lage’s side in the final third.
In some games, Wanderers created lots of chances but failed to score.
The forwards really underwhelmed in terms of the numbers they posted, and the club have really got the address the issue this summer.
A number of strikers have been linked so far, such as Haris Seferovic, Goncalo Guedes and Gabigol.
According to Sky Sports, there are currently two unnamed Premier League clubs taking an interest in the Watford striker Emmanuel Dennis.
The Hornets are looking for £20 million for the Nigeria international, who scored 10 goals in 2021/22, according to Dharmesh Sheth.
That was a pretty good return considering how poor Watford were throughout the campaign.
Dennis, 24, impressed with his finishing ability and showcased a great knack for poaching.
And he also showed his creative side, registering six assists across all competitions.
Wolves could do much worse than sign Emmanuel Dennis this summer
It was reported by the Telegraph earlier this year that Wolves would prioritise the signing of a new striker this summer.
Dennis is surely a player they have to give consideration to.
Watford supposedly want £20 million, but having been relegated there’s a chance they won’t get near that figure. And Dennis could apply pressure to leave, as he is clearly Premier League-quality.
The star really was the shining light for the Hornets last term.
He could make a really good alternative option for Wolves, who currently have the 19-year-old Fabio Silva and the 31-year-old Raul Jimenez.
Dennis is between their ages and obviously has Premier League experience now, making him a potentially good signing.
