Wolves have made their fair share of transfer mistakes over the years, with Vitinha the standout.
Rob Edwards will be focused on outgoings just as much as incoming in the January transfer window.
The likes of Joao Gomes and Jorgen Strand Larsen have been linked with moves away to fellow Premier League side Crystal Palace.
Will Wolves get £40m for Strand Larsen or is that wishful thinking? 👀
The asking price has been reported amid interest from West Ham…
They aren’t the only two, as both Emmanuel Agbadou and Jackson Tchatchou could also be out the door.
But it doesn’t stop there, as Pedro Lima‘s future has suddenly been thrown into doubt after his loan spell at FC Porto didn’t go to plan.
Rumours that Pedro Lima is set to leave Wolves permanently
Pedro Lima chose to join Wolves ahead of Chelsea with plenty of hype behind him.
However, he never managed to secure a regular first-team place at Wolves, despite a number of appearances, which resulted in him being loaned to Porto’s B team.
And now it has been claimed that his future at Wolves could be over entirely, as according to Portuguese outlet Tugão Futebol.
Wolves are considering the possibility of terminating the loan agreement. The plan would allow the right-back to move to Brazilian side Atlético Mineiro on a permanent deal.
But the situation remains very early and is described as one to monitor.
Shades of Vitinha’s exit at Wolves 👀
Thoughts?
Memories of Vitinha return at Wolves
During his 2020–21 loan spell at Wolves, Vitinha struggled to secure a starting spot under Nuno Espirito Santo, who had the luxury of Joao Moutinho and Ruben Neves at the time.
Despite showing flashes, including his stunning 35-yard strike in the FA Cup against Chorley, the Old Gold declined their £17 million option to buy him, which has proved disastrous.
Since signing for PSG, Vitinha has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the world, winning the French club their first-ever Champions League, as well as finishing third in the 2025 Ballon d’Or.
Whilst Pedro Lima is no way near the level of Vitinha, it’s a similar situation where a player didn’t really get a chance to prove himself and could now move on to bigger things.
The hype is certainly there for Lima from Wolves supporters, it just seems that the club doesn’t see the potential in the youngster anymore.
