Wolves are likely going to have to sell to buy in the January transfer window, which brings players like Jorgen Strand Larsen under the spotlight.
The January transfer window has gotten off to a typically slow start for Wolves, with nothing but rumours and the names of players who could leave.
Jorgen Strand Larsen is one of those names after a below-par first half of the campaign.
Jamie Carragher is of the belief that Strand Larsen will leave soon, but there has been no clear indication that anything is imminent, just interest from clubs.
Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest and West Ham all have an interest, but Wolves have set a £40m tag.
Who do you think will be the first to leave Wolves in January?🤔
Everton are the latest side to want Jorgen Strand Larsen
The list grows to four Premier League clubs interested in Jorgen Strand Larsen, as Everton have discussed a potential move for the Norwegian (as per Daily Mail).
Everton have struggled to get any consistency out of Thierno Barry and Beto so far this season, which has meant they’re now looking at alternatives.
Strand Larsen isn’t exactly the most prolific of options, as he’s only bagged one goal in the current campaign.
Although Steve Bull has claimed that Strand Larsen’s poor form is due to a lack of service.
Fill in the blank: Jorgen Strand Larsen is now worth £___million.
Dwight McNeil is exactly what Wolves need
Dwight McNeil has been largely pushed aside at Everton this season, playing just 10 times in the Premier League, but has only started three of those games.
With Tyler Dibling, Jack Grealish, and Iliman Ndiaye already at the club, it’s made life difficult for the Englishman, which could work in Wolves’ favour.
On his day, he could rival anyone in the top-flight when it comes to delivery into the box. One of Wolves’ issues has been the quality in the final third, a lack of creativity and directness.
McNeil keeps things simple. He drives at his defender and whips balls into the box. None of this is going backwards, constantly searching for a defender to pass to.
Too often, Wolves find themselves with players like Jhon Arias and Hwang Hee-chan out wide, but truth be told, they’re more at ease centrally, so things just don’t work out.
