Wolverhampton Wanderers fans were among many people left in awe of the performance of Ruben Dias last night.
The central defender started for Manchester City in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain.

The Premier League leaders ran out 2-0 winners at the Etihad Stadium, winning the tie 4-1 on aggregate, and will contest their first ever Champions League final in a few weeks’ time.
It was a magnificent display from City, with their defence especially outstanding.
Not for the first time this season, Dias was absolutely imperious at the back for Pep Guardiola’s side.
MORE WOLVES STORIES
The 23-year-old, who signed for the club last summer, was on hand to block and head clear pretty much everything.

It was a truly phenomenal defensive performance from him, and there were more than few Wolves fans green with envy seeing him so dominant.
That’s because Wolves wanted Dias a year before he made his move to City.
According to Tim Spiers in The Athletic earlier this year: “They’ve looked at spending big money on a top-class centre-back before… 18 months ago, Ruben Dias, now of Manchester City, was a target they discussed, but were put off by Benfica’s £50 million asking price.

“From what I’m told, they’ll make this position a priority in the summer.”
Potentially, £115,000-a-week star Dias (Spotrac) is going to be an uncomfortable watch for Wolves fans for many years.
