Surprisingly, despite Cunha’s form since joining Wolves, including an exceptional individual campaign this time out, not everyone rates him.
Cunha’s name has been mentioned the most in a debate on Reddit about which player is Wolves’ most overrated.
“Dare I say Cunha,” user Hailfire9 said. “Cunha is very streaky. He can easily win or lose you a game depending on if his forced shots from 25 yards go in or not.”
User Matman050988 added: “Cunha. I’d rather a player who puts in effort for 90 mins than someone who turns up 5-10 mins a game. I believe we wouldn’t be any worse off if he didn’t play this season.”
User LordofSuns replied to the above comment: “I’d respect this statement a lot more if it weren’t for the fact that Cunha has probably singlehandedly kept us a Premier League team for next season due to his goal contributions this season. On principle, you’re right but he’s currently justifying himself through his output.”
A fourth Reddit user added: “I think Cunha. Is he good? Yeah. Is he as good as he thinks he is, or Wolves supporters or the punditry? No. Do I love him? Absolutely. Is he overrated? Yeah.”

Unanimous in opinion of Rayan Ait-Nouri
While Cunha’s exaggerated ability is up for debate, fans are united over Rayan Ait-Nouri’s (abbreviated to ‘RAN’) defensive frailties.
User Pholly1 said: “Overrated: RAN. Great player but leaves a lot of defensive vulnerabilities.”
User OhWell_InHell replied: “I don’t think he’s particularly overrated, everyone can see what he is good at and what his faults are. Although I don’t think he’s half as bad defensively as some make out.”
A third fan with the username WolvoNeil said: “Overrated would be RAN, if we can get 35m for him I say sell.”
User Fluffy-Beartrap added: “Overrated: RAN – his performance this season pales to last year.”
Since joining Wolves in July 2021, Ait-Nouri has scored 11 goals and registered 13 assists in 148 games in all competitions.
Although the Algerian’s contract expires next summer, Wolves retain the option to trigger a one-year extension.
