Wolves players have the chance to impress Rob Edwards during the international break, and one player has already made the most of it.
It’s safe to say that the morale at Wolves, both on and off the field, hit an all-time low during Vitor Pereira’s reign, which isn’t a surprise after a run of 11 games without a win.
However, the mood is already improving after seeing Rob Edwards‘ first interview as Wolves boss, as he looks to bring back the positive culture that’s been missing in recent years.
Rob Edwards’ first interview as Wolves boss
One thing that really stood out was Edwards mentioning the importance of leadership in tough times moving forward. This is something that Pereira did try to build at Molineux but failed.
However, Edwards won’t be able to work with the Wolves squad in full until the international players return next week, on various days. But he will certainly be keeping an eye on their performances ahead of his first game against Crystal Palace.
David Moller-Wolfe provides an assist for Erling Haaland
David Moller-Wolfe has struggled to earn consistent game time since joining from AZ Alkmaar for around £10 million. He’s appeared just six times and has made three starts in that time.
He really caught the eye with his brace against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup, but in typical Vitor Pereira fashion, he didn’t even get a minute in the following game against Fulham.

With a fresh clean slate under a new manager, he will no doubt be given an equal opportunity to Hugo Bueno in the left-back battle.
Norway won 4-1 against Estonia on Thursday evening and David Moller-Wolfe was brilliant.
He provided an assist for Erling Haaland’s goal, created three chances, made nine passes into the final third, successfully made one of two crosses, had a 93% passing accuracy and showed his attacking prowess with three touches in the opposition’s box.
This resulted in a rating of 7.7 (as per FotMob).

Hugo Bueno vs David Moller-Wolfe
Hugo Bueno was the go-to man for Vitor Pereira to start this season, but we feel he’s yet to really make the shirt his own after some inconsistent performances of late.
Here we take a look at how the two compare stats wise.
| Stats from FBRef (Premier League 2025-26) | Hugo Bueno | David Moller-Wolfe |
| Appearances | 11 | 5 |
| Assists | 0 | 1 |
| Pass completion % | 76.9 | 55.6 |
| Shot creation actions per 90 | 2.95 | 1.18 |
| Tackles won per 90 | 1.48 | 1.18 |
| Crosses per 90 | 7.39 | 5.29 |
It’s clear from the stats that Hugo Bueno has the upper hand at this moment in time, dominating pretty much every stat apart from the assists column.
However, it’s hard to judge a player off limited minutes, so Moller-Wolfe will be hoping for a proper run under Rob Edwards to prove himself in the Gold shirt.
After all, Moller-Wolfe even stated himself that he needs time to settle.
