Vitor Pereira’s future at Wolves looks to be heading to its conclusion as fans are calling for him to be sacked, and Kevin Muscat could be a good alternative.
Pereira’s clash with fans signaled the start of a dwindling relationship, and while the Wolves squad are still backing the head coach, results are what matter.
At the moment, Wolves insist the Portuguese manager is safe, but that can all change depending on the result against Fulham on Saturday.

Should it end in defeat for the Old Gold, and Fosun pull the trigger on sacking the 57-year-old, former Old Gold man Kevin Muscat could be a good appointment.

Kevin Muscat was open to leaving Shanghai Port
Kevin Muscat looks to be available following the next international break.
The former Australian international was close to taking the Rangers job, but his request to wait until the Chinese Super League ended seemed to block the deal.
Muscat’s Shanghai Port side are competing for the league title, and with just a couple of weeks remaining, he wanted to see the campaign through.
It was a respectable position to take, but Wolves could now capitalise.
Muscat played for the Wanderers for five years from 1997 to 2002, making 199 appearances and he knows the responsibility that the shirt carries.

That connection alone could spark a relationship between the fans and the manager, and that is an underrated quality to have.
Muscat has been successful throughout his managerial career, winning four league titles in three different countries, and he is on track for his fifth.
He plays an attacking brand of football, and at the moment, Wolves are desperate for inspiration in the final third, with Vitor Pereira seemingly unable to get his side to create chances.
However, there is one concern.
The quality of league is a big step up
Of course, there is the issue of the quality of the leagues he has managed in, and that is a valid concern.
The standard in the Premier League is one of the highest in the world, and so far Muscat has barely managed in Europe, let alone England.
He has had stints in Belgium, Australia and Japan and is currently in China, and whether or not he could adapt to an increase in level still remains to be seen.
However, it would no doubt be a bold appointment by Fosun, and there have already been some suggestions from fans for it to happen.
