Rob Edwards is in the building – and Yerson Mosquera has a golden chance to impress the new manager straight away.
The Old Gold officially announced Edwards earlier this week as Vitor Pereira’s successor, and fans are desperately hoping to see him instigate a turnaround.
It has been a dismal season so far, and Wolves are still winless in the Premier League after 11 games.
The team have conceded the most, scored the fewest and have taken just two points.
Edwards is now tasked with picking these players up and galvanising them. It will not be easy, but by many accounts he is very good at connecting with people and Wolves are indeed confident that Edwards can unite the club during this testing period.
Currently, he is working with a small group of players at Compton due to the international break.
But one player who’ll be really hoping to catch the eye is Yerson Mosquera.
Yerson Mosquera has chance to become Wolves regular

Mosquera has been in and out of the team so far this season.
That was perhaps to be expected given he only returned from a serious knee injury in the summer.
But the Colombian defender now finds himself with a fantastic chance to impress Edwards, get into the starting XI and stay there.
First of all, Emmanuel Agbadou and Santiago Bueno are both away on international duty at the moment, meaning they are not in front of Edwards on the training ground.
Bueno will be available, but his form has dipped recently and that might create an opening for Mosquera.
Minutes played by centre-backs at Wolves in 25/26
1. Ladislav Krejci – 885
2. Santiago Bueno – 844
3. Emmanuel Agbadou 744
4. Toti Gomes – 626
5. Matt Doherty – 419
6. Yerson Mosquera – 346
Agbadou’s form has been poor all season, and the Ivorian is surely way down the pecking order at the moment.
And then there’s Matt Doherty, who has often played on the right of a back three for Wolves. He’s picked up a knee injury and could be out for a little while.
So Mosquera looks like he’s in a good spot, and his versatility to play in both a back four and a back five will surely stand him in good stead with the new manager, who was alternating formations at Middlesbrough.
Mosquera must seize opportunity amid new dawn at Wolves

Pereira was keen to manage Mosquera cautiously this season, having returned from a serious knee injury in the summer.
But there’s a strong chance Mosquera will start against Crystal Palace – and he must make the most of his opportunity
Mosquera has so much potential. He is tall, strong, aggressive and can play, meaning he has all the makings of developing into a great Premier League centre-back.
So far, he’s been quite unlucky at Wolves with his injury problems.
But now is the moment for him to seize the chance that is surely coming his way, with other players worryingly out of form or unavailable through injury.
