Wolves fans are concerned at the moment, with the club winless in the Premier League after seven games.
It has been a very tough start for Wanderers, and it was always going to be given the fixtures.
But the defending has been pretty woeful at times, and Wolves have also failed to capitalise from winning positions.
Gary O’Neil has been backed by the Wolves board for now. But he is certainly a man under pressure.
Two more very hard games lie in wait against Manchester City and Brighton, but then Wolves have Crystal Palace, Southampton, Fulham and Bournemouth.
That could well be a defining period for the Wolves manager. Should he not get a decent enough points return from those games, he could get sacked.
And if the board does feel a change is needed, then Sergio Conceicao is someone who ought to be considered to be the next man in charge at Molineux.
Sergio Conceicao enjoyed a fantastic stint at FC Porto

Currently, there haven’t really been any reports suggesting Sergio Conceicao is of interest to Wolves.
But he’s one of the names in the frame in the eyes of some bookmakers, and Wolves could do a lot worse than him if O’Neil gets sacked.
Conceicao is currently unattached after leaving FC Porto in the summer after seven years at the helm.
Conceicao actually replaced Nuno Espirito Santo as the club’s head coach, and ushered in one of the most successful periods in the club’s history.
He won 11 trophies at the club, including three league titles – only Jorge Jesus has one more titles in Portuguese football.
Conceicao left Porto with a very impressive win rate of 72.3%.
As per Breaking The Lines, he placed a big focus on playing ‘possession-heavy football’, and ‘heavy pressing’. The suggestion is that he played a high-risk brand of football, so he would perhaps need a good level of backing in January so that he has the players to carry out his philosophy.
Wolves have been linked with Sergio Conceicao before
It will be very interesting to see if Conceicao does become someone of interest to Wolves if results do not pick up.
He may not have been linked recently, but it was reported in May 2021 by Fabrizio Romano that Wolves did shortlist Conceicao as they looked to replace Nuno Espirito Santo.
Conceicao was linked with Wolves again following the sacking of Bruno Lage in October 2022.

There have been suggestions by fans on social media that Conceicao is somebody Wolves should now seriously consider appointing.
Just for the moment though it seems O’Neil will have the chance to turn things around. Matt Jarvis believes O’Neil can come good at Wolves, and there are still lots of fans who believe in him. But results are now paramount for the Englishman.
Should O’Neil not take enough points in the next six games though, we could very well start seeing fresh reports of Wolves being interested in Conceicao, who is clearly someone the club are well aware of.
