Wolves fans are excited for a new era at Molineux after some very difficult times of late.
Wolves sacked Gary O’Neil at the weekend following the 2-1 defeat to Ipswich Town, in a decision that many had been calling to be made for weeks.
O’Neil was relieved of his duties and just hours later, it was reported Wolves were in talks with Vitor Pereira.
It’s expected that Pereira will be officially announced as the new manager today – and the job he has on his hands is enormous.
There have already been claims about January, and one player reportedly being looked at by Wolves is Ben Godfrey – and this should have Santiago Bueno worried.
Wolves signing Ben Godfrey could force Santiago Bueno back to the bench

It has been reported that Wolves are showing interest in Godfrey, who has been made available for loan by Atalanta.
Godfrey joined the Italian club in the summer, but has struggled for game time so far, making just four appearances so far.
Atalanta’s backline has been very settled, and Gian Piero Gasperini has subsequently guided the club to the top of the league.
So Godfrey could be on the move next month and Wolves are in the frame to sign him – and that’s not good news for Bueno.
Bueno had become a regular at Wolves in recent weeks with Gary O’Neil moving to a back three, but he’s continued to play ahead of Craig Dawson.
But one gets the feeling he is the current Wolves centre-back who’d be at the most risk of losing his place.
Bueno tends to play on the right side of a back three, and that’s a position Godfrey knows fairly well having operated there at Everton.
O’Neil claimed Bueno lacked physicality in his game, and he also doesn’t have much pace or mobility, meaning he might be struggling to keep his starting berth if Godfrey did come in.
Godfrey is certainly a player with pace, with Alex Iwobi on record as saying he was the fastest player at Everton – ever quicker than Anthony Gordon.
Jury still out on Bueno at Wolves
Bueno has had some decent outings since his £8.5 million transfer to the club from Girona but by and large, the jury is still out on the Uruguay international.
He can use the ball well, but you never really get the sense that he is going to absolutely bully an opposition striker, which is sometimes what you want.
Bueno has been getting the nod over Dawson in recent weeks, but one would imagine that Dawson is more likely to play than Bueno if Godfrey signed due to his experience.
Dawson has had some poor showings this season, but it’s likely new manager Pereira will see Dawson as the glue that will hold that backline together.
