Gary O’Neil’s side were defeated 2-1 against Arsenal at the Emirates on Saturday thanks to two early goals from hosts.
The visitors failed to bounce back from their 3-2 defeat against Fulham earlier in the week.
Multiple players were missing for Wolves with Rayan Ait-Nouri and Pedro Neto both still injured while Joao Gomes and Mario Lemina were suspended.
With a much-changed squad, the visitors struggled to contain Arsenal for large periods of the game until Matheus Cunha got a late goal back.
Nevertheless, O’Neil was still fairly pleased with the performance Wolves gave.
Gary O’Neil believes Wolves gave “everything”

Speaking after the game, O’Neil was fairly pleased with the display Wolves gave.
Despite being on the back foot for long periods, the visitors got themselves back into the game through Cunha’s brilliant effort.
Wolves pushed for an equaliser late on but were unable to find another late goal.
“When you concede two early goals you think it could be a long afternoon, but I knew the lads understood the plan well and that it was going to be solid and sound,” he told Wolves.
“I knew that we’d suffer some moments against Arsenal because everybody does, and I felt we’d find a foothold and find a way back in and it was a long way back to get anything from the game, but we didn’t fear it would get away from us.
“The lads stuck together and gave everything they could to get us back in the game and gave Arsenal a little scare at the end. The lads should take a lot from that performance because we were short in numbers today, three young lads on the bench for their first time, we had to change the goalie, so to keep going, stick together and give Arsenal a scare, it was a good effort.”
Wolves were below par at Arsenal

The hosts could have easily had four or five goals at half-time.
On top of Arsenal’s two goals in the game, they hit the post twice from poor defensive mistakes.
Wolves defence, at times, was all over the place with Max Kilman and Craig Dawson being particularly poor.
Even after Arsenal had reduced their pressure, the game was almost like a friendly, with O’Neil’s side adding little intensity to the match.
It was only when Cunha scored to make it 2-1 that Wolves actually started playing. However, this was too little, too late.
By the end of the game, Arsenal had produced a 3.16 xG compared to the visitor’s 0.87 xG.
The result now means that Wolves have lost back-to-back Premier League games for the first time since September.
After some recent promising performances against Spurs and Man City, O’Neil could have easily taken the game to Arsenal a little more.
Despite the forced changes to the starting XI, the team was still easily good enough to put in a better display.
While the result itself wasn’t too bad, Wolves at the end of the day were lucky it wasn’t a cricket score at half-time.
