The 2023/24 season is coming to an end and just two games remain for Wolves in the Premier League – and it’s possible Fosun will be hoping to see one player in particular make a big impact.
Wanderers are in action this weekend against Crystal Palace in their final home game of the campaign. It will be a tough game, with the Eagles rejuvenated under new manager Oliver Glasner.
Then, it’s Liverpool at Anfield on the final day.
Wolves are hoping to seal a top-half finish, which would be an amazing achievement considering all the chaos last summer. Many had tipped Wolves to be in a relegation battle this term, but Gary O’Neil has done a remarkable job of ensuring that has not even been a concern at any point.
Hopefully Wolves can finish the season strongly, and hopefully, fans will get to see Pedro Neto feature.
The winger has been on the sidelines for the past two months with a hamstring injury, but is back in training now and could well be involved this weekend – and Fosun might be hoping for a big impact…
Fosun may hope Pedro Neto puts himself back in the shop window for Wolves after injury

Neto was on fire for Wolves in the first half of the season.
At one point, he led the assists chart and everybody was talking about him and his performances.
But he then suffered a hamstring injury against Newcastle at the end of October, which sidelined him for just under three months. Neto then sustained another one against Fulham in March.
He’s therefore been limited to just 23 appearances this season, which is such a shame considering how good he’s been when he has been fit.
As a result of more injury problems for Neto this season, there has been some talk recently that other clubs interested in him might just be put off trying to sign him this summer.
For a long time, the narrative was that Neto would be the next ‘big sale’ at Molineux, with even the player reportedly believing that to be the case.
But it’s been suggested clubs may be unwilling to swoop for Neto because of his injury record.
As a result of him being out for the last two months, his market value will have dropped fairly significantly. And now, Fosun may be hoping the £50,000-a-week star can finish the season with a flourish.
Ultimately, Wolves’ owners are keen for the club to become self-sustaining, and they will see selling Neto as a means of helping to achieve this. A couple of impactful performances to finish the season could perhaps help the club to bring in a few more million.
Neto will be determined to shine v Palace and Liverpool
So Fosun are probably keen to see Neto shining in the last couple of games – and you would imagine the player is determined to impress as well.
Neto – branded ‘incredible’ by journalist Tim Spiers earlier this year – has been with Wolves since the summer of 2019 now, and he is probably fairly keen to make a move this summer, as much as he likes the club.
He is a Champions League-level player, so he’ll want to put himself back in the shop window after some time out.
A big performance against Liverpool on the final day would certainly put the spotlight back on him. Hopefully, if that does happen, Wolves can capitalise in the summer.
