Wolves will travel to Fulham on Monday night without centre-back Craig Dawson as they return to Premier League action.
Gary O’Neil’s side will return from international football next week aiming to continue their great run of form.
Their victory against Spurs just before the break showed that Wolves could well be a real threat this season.
However, momentum may be key if O’Neil is planning on breaking into the top half this season.
The club now has a generous run of games after playing seven of the Premier League’s top eight in their first 12 games.
This begins with an away trip to strugglers Fulham who have only won one of their last seven league games.
However, O’Neil will be without Dawson who has been one of the side’s key players over the past couple of months.
Wolves’ Craig Dawson picks up yellow card suspension

Wolves’ Craig Dawson picked up his fifth yellow card of the season against Spurs, meaning that he will have to serve a one-game suspension.
It is not the first time this season a Wolves player has hit the five yellow card threshold. Nelson Semedo also had to serve a one-game ban against Bournemouth after his card against Aston Villa.
Matt Doherty managed to step in quite effectively down south that game as Wolves produced a great comeback. However, Wolves don’t have as much depth at centre-back.
With Dawson and Kilman starting and Toti Gomes now being used on the left, Santiago Bueno is the only other central defender available.
It is clear that O’Neil is not a fan of the 25-year-old despite his reputation, with Bueno only making one appearance this season.
Conor Coady perfect replacement

The former captain would have been great for these types of situations.
Coady was sold to Leicester in the summer after Everton decided not to take up the option to buy the defender.
With O’Neil now reverting to a back three, the 30-year-old would have been in his element.
Coady proved multiple times in both his Wolves career and internationally that he is one of the best in his position if played in the centre of a back three.
His experience and leadership would have helped Wolves out, especially when players such as Dawson are missing from the starting XI.
Instead, Wolves could lose some valuable points next week due to their depth issues.
Lack of depth continues to haunt Wolves

The loss of both Coady and Nathan Collins in the summer has left the club really light at the back.
If O’Neil decides to start Bueno, Kilman and Toti Gomes on Monday it gives Wolves very few options in defence if one of them gets injured.
This fear could well continue into the winter with injuries in the Premier League becoming a real issue recently.
Wolves may well have to look at bringing in another defender sooner rather than later especially now that Dawson is entering the twilight of his career.
However, it is clear for now that reinforcing the defence is not the club’s priority in the January window.
