Wolves are in bad need of a new striker.
The Black Country side has not had a player net more than seven goals in a season since Raul Jimenez netted 27 times in the 2019/20 campaign.
Creativity had been a big issue for Wolves over recent seasons. However, Gary O’Neil has got his new team ticking up top.
Wolves have scored in their last 13 games, a superb feat for a side who only netted 31 times in the Premier League last season.
Hwang Hee-Chan and Pedro Neto have been the club’s main outlet so far, with the duo having a combined 17 goal contributions.
O’Neil is just missing one vital piece to his side, an out-and-out striker.
Matheus Cunha is not Wolves’ striker solution

Cunha came in as Wolves’ record transfer when the club took up the option to make his loan move permanent in January.
Since the move, he has mainly occupied the striker spot in the side but has seen little luck.
The Brazilian has only found the net four times in all competitions since the move, missing some glorious chances in the process.
While the 24-year-old has linked up well with Hwang Hee-Chan and Neto so far this season, it is clear he is better in a support role.
This was evident in Wolves’ last game with the striker missing multiple opportunities to equaliser for the hosts before producing a fantastic assist for Pablo Sarabia to equaliser.
Cunha himself, may also believe this with the club’s coaching staff having to convince the attacker that he is the best man right now to lead O’Neil’s front line.
Wolves did attempt to bring in a striker in the last window but were unable to complete this task with FFP issues.
However, it is very much clear that Wolves will be searching for a new striker in January.
Serhou Guirassy may be the answer to Wolves’ problems

The Guinea striker is tearing it up in the Bundesliga.
Guirassy has currently netted 15 times in just nine games in the league for VfB Stuttgart, registering 2.03 goals per minute.
It has been an extremely impressive run of games from the 27-year-old who signed for Stuttgart in the summer from French side Rennes.
It is believed that there is a £15 million release clause in the striker’s contract with both Newcastle and Nottingham Forest registering interest in the Guinea international.
With a player of that quality available at such as low price, the club would be mad not to scout him out after all of their FFP issues.
Bringing in a striker who is on such a good run could be the answer to Wolves’ problems.
At times it feels like a lot of Wolves’ forwards have completely lost their confidence in front of goal.
However, bringing in Guirassy, who is one of the most in-form players in the world, will have little trouble finding that confidence.
His addition might also bring more belief to Wolves’ creative line as the season progresses.
