Wolves now face a huge game in the Premier League against Burnley – and Vitor Pereira is potentially facing a major selection decision.
Wolves crashed to a 2-0 defeat against Sunderland at the weekend at the Stadium of Light, turning in a very disappointing performance.
Nordi Mukiele opened the scoring for the hosts, and in injury-time Ladislav Krejci unfortunately put through his own net.
It was a real opportunity for Wolves, given Sunderland’s status as a newly promoted side. But the Black Cats have come to play this season, and at the moment are showing the kind of ambition Wolves fans long to see from their own team.
Wolves had chances against Sunderland, but the quality of those chances was low.
And there were yet more struggles for Jorgen Strand Larsen, who has surely now handed Pereira an unwanted conundrum.
Jorgen Strand Larsen may need dropping against Burnley after weeks of struggles

It has not been the season Strand Larsen would have been hoping for.
The Norway international delighted supporters when he stayed after an approach from Newcastle United at the end of the summer transfer window.
But Strand Larsen has since struggled a lot, mainly because of a pesky Achilles injury.
It forced him to miss the Premier League games with Everton and Newcastle United earlier in the season.
And during the international break, Strand Larsen admitted that the injury had been causing him to struggle in games.
And after the defeat to Sunderland, Pereira stated that Strand Larsen was still struggling with the injury, which has led some to question why the number nine is playing.
Certainly now, with Strand Larsen having been unable to train regularly and build momentum, there is a case for him to be dropped to the bench.
Unfortunately, despite him being a ‘terrific team player’ in the eyes of Dave Edwards (via Wolves official), he has been totally ineffective for Wolves recently. And perhaps it is now time for a change.

Time for Tolu?
Tolu Arokodare, who himself has not been totally fit, cost a lot of money and has been brought in to compete with Strand Larsen as well as cover for him.
The Nigerian wowed fans before the international break with an ice-cold finish against Everton in the 2-0 Carabao Cup win.
It has been difficult for him to affect games coming off the bench, especially when Wolves have seemingly gone more defensive after changing system.

We are yet to really see him play up top on his own, and this game against Burnley might be a good game for him.
There could potentially be a frosty atmosphere at Molineux, and Arokodare seems like a cool customer who’d be capable of dealing with such an environment.
As much as Pereira will not want to drop Strand Larsen, right now there is no momentum for the number nine and it might be in his best interests to allow him a weekend of recovery.
