Wolves are almost home and dry in the battle to avoid relegation after a thrilling weekend of Premier League action.
Wolves 2-1 win over Ipswich Town – thanks to a Jorgen Strand Larsen winner – saw them move 12 points clear of the bottom three with seven matches left.
Only a complete miracle could see Ipswich overhaul the huge deficit created by Vitor Pereira’s men to drag them back into the bottom three.
Pereira has done an amazing job since being appointed by Wolves in December and now they’re almost safe from relegation, attention can turn to the summer transfer window.
All talk has been dominated by Matheus Cunha, who is set to leave Wolves, but the importance of quality incomings can’t be understated, and the Wanderers should be looking at one budding talent.

Wolves should try and sign Omari Hutchinson this summer
Ahead of the window opening, it has been revealed that Wolves want to sign at least one number 10, someone who is quick, nimble and ultimately good in one-on-one situations.
Pereira’s current system at Molineux adopts two number 10s. Cunha has typically played on the left side, but following his suspension, Jean-Ricner Bellegarde has operated the role brilliantly while the likes of Marshall Munetsi, Goncalo Guedes and Hwang Hee-chan have played as right-sided 10.
A strong attacking midfielder appears to be on the agenda, and with Ipswich staring down the barrel of relegation, Wolves should look to sign attacking midfielder Omari Hutchinson who could be a direct replacement for Pablo Sarabia.

Sarabia is likely to leave Wolves as his contract expires in 2025, and although the Spaniard scored on Saturday, the Ipswich playmaker is an upgrade on the veteran, as demonstrated by the above stat graphic.
Hutchinson averages more dribbles, shots and key passes per game than the 32-year-old – who Wolves signed for £4.4 million in 2023 – suggesting he’d be a brilliant capture and one that is attainable.
Ipswich paid £20 million to sign the 21-year-old from Chelsea in the summer, and with the Tractor Boys destined to be relegated, surely offering close to that price would be enough to seal a deal.
Hutchinson was once endorsed by Pele
Hutchinson, who was injured in the defeat to Wolves, has shown he’s a fleet-footed playmaker, capable of gliding past his opponents with ease while making an impact in the final third.
The England under-21 star, alongside Liam Delap, has shown he belongs in the Premier League and he’s proven the praise of one footballing icon correct.
When Hutchinson was 12-years-old and playing in the Arsenal academy, he once met the late Brazilian icon Pele, who said a few nice words to him after a tournament.
Speaking to Sun Sport in 2024, Hutchinson recalled the moment: “We were playing at Brentford’s training ground and you had the likes of Bayern Munich, Chelsea, a lot of the top teams from across the world there.
“After the tournament finished, they gathered everyone together and picked one player from each team to showcase their skills.
“Everyone at Arsenal was shouting my name to go forward so I did a few skills.
“And Pele said a few nice words to me and let me sit on his knee. We then took a group photo with him.”
It was a special moment for Hutchinson, who was recognised by one of the greatest players of all-time, and now he’s showing him why.
