There is a case to be made now for Vitor Pereira dropping one player at Wolves who he has trusted wholeheartedly.
Wolves slipped to another defeat in the Premier League on Saturday, losing 1-0 at Newcastle United.
Wolves were bright at the very start of the game, but then struggled in the game as Eddie Howe’s side got a foothold, with Nick Woltemade eventually breaking the deadlock.
It’s four defeats in the first four games now for Wolves, meaning it’s the worst start to a new season in the club’s history.
Panic is starting to set in already, and some Wolves fans have even questioned Pereira over some of the decisions he’s made.
And at the moment, the manager is making one decision over and over again, which is really harming Wolves.

Emmanuel Agbadou should now be dropped for Wolves

Emmanuel Agbadou was a revelation last season, after he came in from Reims midway through the season.
The Ivorian was a colossus at the back, and made huge contributions to Wolves’ defensive improvement in the second half of the season.
Had he not played as well as he did, Wolves could well have gone down.
This term though, it has been an alarmingly different story with Emmanuel Agbadou, who has been one of Wolves’ worst performers.
Against Manchester City, Agbadou was poor on three of the four goals.
At Bournemouth, he might have done more to block Marcus Tavernier’s strike that went in off the crossbar.
Against Everton, Agbadou was all at sea, losing Beto on the first goal and failing to stop Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s cross for Iliman Ndiaye’s goal.
And on Saturday, he lost Woltemade at the back post, allowing the German to be the matchwinner for the Magpies.
The Agbadou of last season would not have made these errors, and there is now a strong case for Pereira to drop him for the coming game against Leeds United.
Pereira dropped Andre against Bournemouth, so we know he’s got it in him to make big calls.
Agbadou has been so trusted by the manager since he came in. Last term after he joined, he played every game bar two for which he was injured. And this season, he is the only player to play every single minute for Wolves.
It surely sends out the wrong message to keep on picking a player who is clearly in terrible form.
He has actively been costing Wolves, and taking him out of the firing line, at least for one game, may benefit both Agbadou and the team.

The candidates to replace Agbadou
Wolves are all over the place defensively at the moment, but if one player needs dropping the most it’s Agbadou.
For some reason, he just isn’t at it right now. We are seeing too many lapses that Wolves just simply can’t afford to have.
Yerson Mosquera started against Newcastle and may be a candidate to stay in the team in place of Agbadou, with Matt Doherty perhaps to return on the right side.

There is also Santiago Bueno, who’s quietly had a decent start for Wolves despite the collective struggles of the team. He has certainly played much better than Agbadou.
And then there is Ladislav Krejci, who played in midfield against Newcastle.
The Czech star is a defender by trade, and the startling form of Agbadou might force Pereira to get him into the backline.
