The January transfer window was a month of business to remember for Wolves, who conducted some excellent work in the market.
Of course, the most important piece of work they did was handing Matheus Cunha a new contract, ending any immediate speculation of him leaving.
Vitor Pereira was also active on the incoming front, landing three new additions in the shape of Emmanuel Agbadou, Marshall Munetsi and Nasser Djiga.
Wolves were the second-highest spenders in the Premier League in January, with only Manchester City splashing more than their total of £42 million.
And Pereira almost added to that number as Wolves failed in a £12.5m bid for Thomas Kristensen, as the centre-back remained at Udinese.

Emmanuel Agbadou is levels above Thomas Kristensen
According to reports, Wolves were £1.2 million short of signing Kristensen in the winter, coming dangerously close to landing the 23-year-old.
However, since missing out on the towering Dane, Pereira has realised how exceptional Agbadou is at the centre of the back three – the position Kristensen would have played – with the Ivorian bettering him across a number of metrics.

In the matches since Wolves almost signed the defender, Agbadou has averaged more ball recoveries, clearances, blocked shots and accurate long balls per game, with Kristensen only boasting a marginally better average of tackles and duels won.
Also, reports from Messaggero Veneto claim that the Denmark under-21 has ‘not convinced’ in recent matches for Udinese and he’s even been moved into a full-back role.
That is in contrast to Agbadou, whose strength and power have seen the 27-year-old command the Wolves backline superbly, marshalling his teammates to clean sheets against Aston Villa and West Ham.
Yerson Mosquera is the future of the Wolves defence
While Kristensen wouldn’t have immediately improved the defence, his move to Molineux could have blocked the prospects of Yerson Mosquera too.
The 23-year-old was a star for Gary O’Neil at the start of this term but Mosquera was unfortunately sidelined with an ACL and MCL injury in September.
It could his season and progress short, although the club have realised his talents as Mosquera signed a new five-year contract on Monday.
Ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, the Colombian looks set to play a vital part and the prospect of him forming a partnership with Agbadou and Toti Gomes is mouth-watering.
It means that Pereira should be over the disappointment of losing out on Kristensen, especially with Djiga’s huge potential.
