It remains to be seen what setup Rob Edwards utilises at Wolves and whether that will involve any wide attackers, but with the lack of options currently at the club, it would be smart to add another.
Hwang Hee-chan and Jhon Arias are the two natural wingers at the club, and having just two is not ideal.
Rodrigo Gomes can play in that position, but he has been used more as a wing-back since joining the club.
Since Pedro Neto left, the Old Gold have been missing that spark that can run and take players on, and that is the style of attacker that should be targeted.
At Molineux News, we think Dwight McNeil could be a good option for Edwards, but he is not the only player they could turn to.
We have had a look at all the players who could fit this mould and have found three more options for Rob Edwards.

Three wingers who would improve Wolves in January
Jack Clarke
Jack Clarke could be an interesting option for Wolves, with the winger satisfying the homegrown quota if signed.
Clarke has six goals in the Championship this season and has been a crucial player for the Tractor Boys.
However, that could go against Wolves should they look to sign him. Ipswich are currently in the promotion fight, sitting just six points off second with a game in hand.
Clarke does not seem to want to move, stating previously via the East Anglian Daily Times that he has “got no ambition to be anywhere else.”
But that has not stopped players from moving away in the past, and Wolves should certainly try and test that resolve.
Clarke was previously an option for Wolves, and now could be a good time to move back in for him.

Ro-Zangelo Daal
Although he is not homegrown, Ro-Zangelo Daal could be included in Wolves’ under-21 list as a workaround this season.
The rules officially state, “For the 2025/26 Premier League season, under-21 players will have been born on or after 1 January 2004.” Daal was born in February 2004, allowing him to be included in that separate list and still play for the first team.
The AZ Alkmaar winger is an exciting player, and across all leagues, no other player has more progressive carries per 90 than him at 9.79 (via Data.MB).
That kind of drive and ball carrying is what the Old Gold need, and with him only playing 42% of all possible minutes in the Eredivisie, luring him with the chance of Premier League football, even if it’s just for a few months, is attractive.
It is unclear what sort of fee would be required, but with him being a bit part player at AZ, it could be quite affordable.
The lack of Premier League and English football experience is a bit of a downside, though.
Daizen Maeda
Maeda is a tricky one, as his signing would mean Wolves would need to sell another foreign player from their squad.
But the Japanese forward is a quality player, and his versatility across the frontline would be an excellent addition. He can play on the left, right, or centre.
The Celtic man is reportedly on the market, and at 28 years old, he does have a lot of experience even if that is not in the Premier League.
As stated, the homegrown quota does complicate any deal, but if there is any chance of getting it done, Fosun should act quickly.
