There have been plenty of returns at Wolves this season.
Rob Edwards returned to the club he played the most games for as a player, becoming the Old Gold’s head coach.
Then, Edwards brought back Rui Pedro Silva as one of his coaching staff. Silva had worked under Nuno Espirito Santo during his Wolves tenure.
Now, with the January window inbound, there is a chance for more returns to happen, and the transfer market could allow those players to improve the squad.
Here are three players we would like to see Wolves re-sign in January.
Wolves fans, which of these positions do Wolves need to strengthen the most urgently? 🤔 Let us know below!
These positions have been reported in a new article by Sky Sports…
Adama Traore
Wolves are lacking pace up top, and there has been nobody quicker at Molineux than Adama Traore.
The Fulham winger has barely featured for the Cottagers this season and has more often than not been on the bench rather than in the starting XI.
Traore will no doubt be unhappy with his situation at the London side, and Wolves could offer him a way out and a route for more football.
There have been reports that Nuno Espirito Santo wants to be reunited with him at West Ham, just months after he wanted him at Nottingham Forest as well.
Fill in the blank: The one former Wolves player I wish could return to the club is _________
You can only choose one to instantly improve this current Wolves team 👀
However, perhaps the allure of a vocal Molineux can attract Traore to relive some of the better days of his career.
Ryan Giles
Ryan Giles was brought up through the Wolves academy, but the left-back played just one game for the Old Gold – a 72-minute appearance in the FA Cup against Shrewsbury back in 2018/2019.
Ever since, Giles has been hopping around different clubs in the English Football League, but he has been one of the best in the Championship this season for Hull City.
The full-back is one of the leading assisters in the second tier. Additionally, he is a player that Rob Edwards knows well.

In 2018, Edwards gave Giles his senior debut at AFC Telford during a loan spell, and then in 2023/2024, he bought him from Wolves for £5 million during his managerial tenure at Luton.
Left wing-back or left-back is not the most-needed position, but Giles could be another solution to fix the creativity problems at the club.

Pedro Lima
Although technically still a Wolves player, Pedro Lima could be recalled as a different option other than Ki-Jana Hoever.
The Dutch full-back has failed to impress this season, and Lima could benefit from some game time in the Premier League.
With Matt Doherty’s contract expiring, and no decision made on that yet, the Brazilian could be a key asset for the likely season in the Championship.
Lima has not really benefitted too much from his loan spell at Porto, mainly featuring for the academy side rather than the first team.
Perhaps he would be better served getting experience at Wolves.
