Vitor Pereira’s start to the season with Wolves has left them bottom of the table heading into the international break.
The transfer window was not ideal for the Old Gold, and the overall feeling at Molineux is that they have ended it with a weaker squad than last season.
The international break will provide Vitor Pereira with a chance to go back to the drawing board, and come up with a plan that can finally start bringing results.
And we have identified three things the Portuguese manager must do once the season resumes.

Be more ruthless in team selection
The decision to drop Andre against Bournemouth came as a shock to supporters, but perhaps it is something the manager should do more often.
The manager spoke about the choice after the game saying that Andre ‘must deserve to play’ and in reality that should be the case for every player.
However, Pereira isn’t giving other players the same treatment so his comment started to fall on deaf ears.

If he adopted this ruthless approach he showed Andre, it could push some players to become even better than they are now.
Fringe players may be willing to work harder to ensure a more permanent spot in the starting XI, and those who are dropped would have to up their levels to return to it.
Pairing both Jorgen Strand Larsen and Tolu Arokodare together
The reliance on Jorgen Strand Larsen could have become a problem, but the arrival of Tolu Arokodare provides more firepower up top.
Both strikers are physical, aerially dominant, and capable of bullying defenders. This provides Pereira with a unique approach up top for Wolves.
Sasa Kalajdzic hinted that having two tall strikers up top could work, and the Austrian could be right.
You will be hard-pressed to find a Premier League team that contains two centre backs that are as equally dominant in the air as each other.
This means that Vitor Pereira could stick his two front men on both, and create a mismatch in the opposition half.
Having both Larsen and Tolu up top could be Wolves’ best XI, and the wing-backs would be delighted they had two great targets to hit for crosses.
Iron out mistakes being made by players
Against Bournemouth, Matt Doherty admitted Wolves did something Pereira told them not to do, and then Vitor Pereira said they did the same again versus Everton.
The Portuguese has shown he is a top manager, but the players seem to keep making the same mistakes over and over again.
It will be vital to pick up points if the 57-year-old finds a way to iron out these errors, or else relegation won’t just become a possibility but rather an inevitability.
Pereira has noticed Emmanuel Agbadou’s issues this season and suggested a solution for him, so perhaps that is a good sign that he knows how to turn things around with the rest of the squad.
