We examine one player, available for £15m, who would instantly transform Wolves into European contenders.
Wolves are yet to make a move in the January transfer window. Despite being linked with numerous players, not one has come through the doors at Molineux yet.
However, Gary O’Neil has seen the departures of multiple players. Fabio Silva and Sasa Kalajdzic have both been sent out on loan. Goncalo Guedes is also set to have his loan deal cut short at Benifca and depart for Villareal on loan as well.
The manager has commented in the past that he wants reinforcements this month. Matt Hobbs then issued a statement in early January discussing how Wolves would conduct themselves in the market throughout. Still, the wait goes on for a new signing.
With the club being careful about how much they spend, we examine one player who is believed to be available for only £15m who could push Wolves back into Europe.
Jack Clarke has been on fire for Sunderland

Down in the Championship, one winger has been lighting up the league for the Black Cats.
23-year-old Jack Clarke has netted 13 times in the Championship for Sunderland this season, making him the league’s fourth top scorer.
In this campaign, he has also collected another two assists as the Blacks Cats once again aim for promotion into the Premier League.
According to Fbref, he also excels in other areas of the pitch. Per 90 minutes, Clarke makes on average 6.91 progressive carries as well as 6.37 touches in the opposition’s box. This puts him among the best in this department in the league.
This type of form isn’t uncommon either. The winger netted nine times in his last campaign and also collected another 12 assists.
The 23-year-old has clearly got a lot of potential and is improving season after season. As a result, multiple teams are now eyeing up the winger including several Premier League sides.
Jack Clarke would be perfect for Wolves

Clarke would be an ideal signing for O’Neil’s side. Wolves have been low in the winger department since Adama Traore left the club at the end of his contract.
Since then, Pedro Neto has taken the handle. However, injuries as well as constant links away mean that he may not be a long-term solution.
The addition of Clarke would help add more quality depth to the side. Wolves have had few attacking options on the bench in recent games. However, the 23-year-old would change that and help increase the options O’Neil has at his disposal.
Clarke is still young and is clearly Premier League ready. Wolves have been linked to the winger earlier in the window with it being reported that he could be available for £15m.
A player of his quality at that price would be a bargain for the club. Not only does Clarke have a lot of potential, but he is also English. This means that due to registration requirements, his price will only continue to rise.
