Wolves have managed to pull away from the relegation zone – and Vitor Pereira is proving to be a very shrewd managerial appointment.
Wolves endured a torrid first half of the season, and were languishing in 19th when Gary O’Neil was sacked by the club in December after a defeat to Ipswich Town at Molineux.
But Wolves have turned things around in a big way under Vitor Pereira.
Wolves now sit 12 points clear o the drop zone, and there is newfound optimism within the fanbase.
Pereira has captured the hearts of the fans with his style of management.
Wolves fans especially love Pereira’s passion, and that has again come across in a fascinating new interview released by the club.
The Vitor Pereira comments that show Wolves are onto a winner

Yesterday, the club released a new interview with Pereira, which was filmed last month.
It offers a really interesting insight into the Portuguese’s mindset, and he shares how much he has sacrificed to get to where he is.
It is clear that Pereira cares deeply about his profession, as he spoke about the way he devises his training sessions.
He said: “To be special in some area, we need to work, work and work and work and work and work and work!
“I have three boys – 28, 26 and 24. And I used to say to them, I study more than you! Because I study football since the morning until every days, every days, every days and I study. I study, I study because I watch the games, the games that I need to watch, to learn, to learn and to learn, and create different things.
“I create exercises every day, I plan the training every day. Every time I’m trying to create something new, new dynamics. It means that every time I’m looking for new players, trying to select new players with the profile that I want. This is focus. If you focus, one day you will achieve what you want. This is what I feel.”
Pereira also told a story of when he used to be a teacher, and there were strikes over pay. As this was happening, Pereira admitted locking himself in a classroom to create his exercises, stating he would even lose track of time he got so into it.
“If you do something with this passion, you must achieve something. Something special. For me, I believe that.”
Pereira’s work ethic could serve Wolves so well
The newly released interview with Pereira is a fascinating listen, and it’s so clear that he was a really high work ethic, and a determination to succeed.
That can only be a great thing for Wolves.
He seems extremely humble, and it’s clear he is extremely grateful to be managing in the Premier League with Wolves.
He’s finally here having dreamed of managing in England’s top-flight, and he’s going to do his utmost to be successful.
Hopefully, Fosun have watched this interview, and it becomes clear to them that the man is worth backing to help Wolves get back on the up.
