The Vitor Pereira revolution started in earnest during the January transfer window, with Wolves making a number of key acquisitions for their new manager.
Wolves signed Emmanuel Agbadou, Marshall Munetsi and Nasser Djiga during the winter window and all three have impressed during their first few months at Molineux – Munetsi recently opened his goalscoring account for Wolves in a 1-1 draw with Everton.
Pereira looks set to continue to mold the Wolves squad further in the summer by making a few more key signings, and also by allowing a few players that don’t fit his plans to leave the club too.
The task of shifting some of the squad deadwood will be made much easier by the fact that a few first-team players’ contracts are set to expire at the end of June 2025.

Here’s the three players who could be set to leave the club as free agents in the summer, and all the latest news on their Wolves futures.
Craig Dawson set to leave Wolves after squad banishment
At this point, it’s very clear that Craig Dawson will not be a Wolves player come July 2025.
After being excluded from Wolves Premier League squad of the remainder of the 2024/25 season, Dawson was then banished from first-team training entirely by Pereira soon after.
Speaking to the press in early February, Pereira made it clear that the centre-back did not fit the ‘profile’ of player he wanted to have in his squad, saying:
“I gave the information in advance to the club that if we bring in another centre-back, I will not have space for Craig in the squad.
“This is something that I spoke with the club [about] for a long time. I had a conversation with the player and I respect the player a lot, and I respect his career, but his profile is not the profile that I’m looking to build the team around.”
Reports suggested recently that Wolves had even began talks over the early termination of Dawson’s deal at Molineux. Although those talks did not seem to progress, the defender undoubtedly does not have a future at the club.
Pablo Sarabia ‘agrees’ deal to join Sevilla
Formerly a key player under Gary O’Neil, 32-year-old Pablo Sarabia has been used sparingly by Pereira since he took charge.

The midfielder has been largely utilised as a substitute by Pereira thus far, and given the fact that he’s one of the highest paid players on the books at Wolves, it’ll come as no surprise to fans that the former PSG man is set to leave the club as a free agent.
Reports from emanating from Spain recently suggested that Sarabia has already secured a new club ahead of the 2025/26 season, with the midfielder putting pen to paper at La Liga outfit Sevilla.
Nelson Semedo contract latest as interest from Benfica intensifies
Truthfully, there’s only one of prospective free agents that Wolves are keen to keep hold of, and it’s club captain Nelson Semedo.
The wing-back’s future has been a key talking point among fans for a number of months, with the entire fanbase predictably being keen to see one of their star players put pen to paper on a new deal.

Semedo alleviated fears of his departure temporarily at the end of February by confirming that he was in talks with Pereira and Wolves about his future.
However, since then, the wing-back’s former club Benfica have reportedly declared an interest in signing the player as a free agent this summer.
As things stand, sources have told Molineux News that the most likely outcome is that Semedo leaves Wolves and joins giants Benfica.
