Wolves will come up against Elliot Anderson tomorrow night – and in a parallel universe the midfielder would be wearing old gold.
Wolves take on Nottingham Forest at Molineux, and are looking for their first win of the season at the 14th time of asking.
Rob Edwards has lost both games he’s taken so far.

But there were positive signs in the defeat against Aston Villa, and fans are cautiously optimistic about a result against the Reds.
This fixture always has a bit of bite to it.
It will certainly be a battle, but Wolves need to make sure that they keep Elliot Anderson’s influence to an absolute minimum.
Anderson has shone so far this term, and he’s actually a player Wolves reportedly opted against signing previously.
Wolves reportedly rejected chance to sign Elliot Anderson

Anderson has been in the gossip columns recently with several big clubs looking at him.
Manchester City are on his tail, but Evangelos Marinakis is sure to demand absolutely top dollar for the 23-year-old.
Anderson joined Forest in the summer of 2024, with Newcastle United begrudgingly accepting £35 million in order to alleviate financial pressure.
But before this, there were reports that Anderson actually became the subject of a player-plus-cash offer to Wolves.
According to the Telegraph, Newcastle wanted to sign Max Kilman from Wolves, and reportedly offered Anderson plus cash to try and tempt the Old Gold to do business.
But Wolves rejected this offer, and Kilman later joined West Ham United in a £40 million deal.
It was never clear how much cash Newcastle offered alongside Anderson.

Wolves must be green with envy
Anderson has developed into a top player at Forest – and the scary thing is he’s still around five years away from the start of his peak.
Anderson has been so good that he’s now considered by most as a starter for England. Three Lions manager Thomas Tuchel even branded him ‘one of the best midfielders in the Premier League’ last month (via BBC Sport).
Four of the last six Premier League meetings between Wolves and Nottingham Forest have been drawn, with each side winning once each.
At Forest, Anderson is crushing it this term. As per Statman Dave, he is the only player across Europe’s top five leagues to have won possession 100+ times, and to have played 100+ passes into the final third this season, making him a combination of a top ball-winner and distributor.
Surely, those involved in the decision to reject Newcastle’s offer for Kilman will be squirming over how good he’s become.
When Wolves and Forest play each other tomorrow night, it seems inevitable that he’ll be impactful.
But Wolves have to make sure that he is kept as quiet as possible.
