Ruben Amorim has done Wolves’ team talk for them on how they can claim their first win

Wolves will be desperate to find their first win of the season sooner rather than later as records continue to tumble, but not in a good way.

Manchester United have only lost one of their last eight games in all competitions, but their supporters are starting to get annoyed with Ruben Amorim.

Sounds like a dream to be furious at your own manager after picking up 15 points in eight games, especially given Wolves sit on two points.

Wolves did the double over Manchester United last season! Hwang, Cunha, and Sarabia scored across the games, but only one is still at Wolves.

Amid their goalscoring woes, can Wolves find an answer for Monday?

Aston Villa was a step in the right direction, but the one issue that remains is the lack of quality on show in front of goal. This was evident against Nottingham Forest too, with just one shot on target.

Jorgen Strand Larsen just hasn’t looked the same since the summer offer from Newcastle was rejected, which is a real concern considering the goalscoring hopes were pinned on him.

Ruben Amorim gives Wolves a hint on Man United’s weakness

Although Manchester United’s form looks good on paper, there appear to be several issues that Ruben Amorim is looking to address at Old Trafford.

The draw with West Ham United could actually work in Wolves’ favour, as the Man United boss has provided a bit of a clue on how Wolves can target his side.

Speaking after the draw on Thursday night, Amorim stated that the height on his side is a concern and has provided opportunities for sides to take advantage of set-pieces.

With Ruben Amorim worried about set-pieces, how should Rob Edwards set up?👀

“Any set-pieces can be a problem with the differences in height in the team. “

Only four outfield players started above 6 ft for Manchester United against West Ham, so it could well be Wolves’ best chance of picking up their first three points.

How Rob Edwards needs to set up his Wolves side

Jhon Arias has operated behind Jorgen Strand Larsen lately, though Rob Edwards has already opted for a front two of Tolu Arokodare and the Norwegian against Crystal Palace.

Whilst Larsen has looked rather disappointing in recent games, it could be Wolves’ best bet to listen to Ruben Amorim’s concerns and get the two of them up top again.

In all honesty, it’s about time Jhon Arias took a backseat and was used as a more impactful substitute, which allows Wolves to have a midfield three against a Man United side that likes to play centrally.

Marshall Munetsi is a doubt, Joao Gomes is suspended, Ladislav Krejci is nursing a knee injury…

Rob Edwards’ options are slim. Who plays in midfield on Monday?

Now, Wolves have only scored one goal from a set-piece this season. But their main issue is just not getting enough quality balls into the box.

With Hugo Bueno possibly back and Matt Dohery surely fit enough to start, the quality should improve if Rob Edwards turns to those two men.
