Wolves are about to enter into a new dawn with Rob Edwards set to be unveiled – and there’s one bold decision that he could make that’ll surely satisfy a lot of disgruntled fans.
Edwards is set to be announced by Wolves at the start of the week, after an agreement was reached over the weekend.
Edwards will leave Middlesbrough to replace Vitor Pereira, with Wolves paying around £2 million to prise him away from Boro.
It’s an appointment that suggests Wolves are thinking about relegation to the Championship. But of course, Molineux officials will be desperately hoping Edwards can somehow work a miracle and keep Wolves in the Premier League.
He will have many issues to address when he comes in.
And one of the biggest of all is how toothless Wolves currently are.
And it will be fascinating to see what he decides to do about Jorgen Strand Larsen.
Edwards would please plenty of Wolves fans by dropping Jorgen Strand Larsen

It has been a very frustrating season for Strand Larsen.
After not joining Newcastle United, Strand Larsen signed a new contract at Molineux as a reward for staying put.
But he has not kicked on like everyone hoped he would, scoring just one goal – which was from the penalty spot – in the Premier League so far this season.
Against Chelsea, Strand Larsen again struggled to make an impact, winning just two of the six duels he contested and having one shot that was off target (via Sofascore).
Fans have been critical of the Norwegian’s body language at times, and certainly, he has cut a frustrated figure in some games.
There is an argument to say that the service for Strand Larsen from other players has been poor.
But without doubt, as one of the Wolves’ best players, he has been disappointing – and Edwards already has a big decision to make.
Does he stick with a player that has been lacking influence, knowing that Strand Larsen has obviously delivered fairly consistently for Wolves before this season?
Or does he twist, and plump for Tolu Arokodare who has scored two goals this term – both of which were excellent finishes – and just try to do something different?

Edwards will surely give Strand Larsen at least one opportunity
Edwards dropping Strand Larsen would definitely please a section of the fanbase, which strongly believes the number nine is not deserving of all the minutes he’s getting at the moment.
Whether Edwards would be so bold as to do that straight away though is perhaps unlikely.
Jorgen Strand Larsen for Wolves this season (all competitions)
Appearances – 12
Minutes played – 818

Assists – 0
Ultimately, Strand Larsen remains one of Wolves’ best players and biggest names.
One would expect that, despite his poor form, Edwards will start him in that next game against Crystal Palace after the international break.
But he’s got to show something soon, because Arokodare is there ready and waiting to add to his two goals.
