Wolves fans are hoping to see a deal concluded for Christantus Uche this week.
It’s been claimed Wolves are closing in on Uche, with a £17 million transfer fee mooted.
Apparently, personal terms need finalising and then the move should progress, and hopefully he’ll be available for the weekend game against Everton.

Uche has been on Wolves’ radar for most of the summer.
But it seems the club are now stepping up their pursuit, with the club undoubtedly in need of landing late recruitments before the window closes.
Uche’s potential arrival at Wolves is exciting to consider.
But there is one player who might end up being an unfortunate loser of his move to Molineux – and some Wolves fans won’t mind it.
Marshall Munetsi could see decline in minutes if Christantus Uche joins Wolves

Marshall Munetsi has been a big favourite of Vitor Pereira since he arrived at Molineux from Reims midway through last season.
The Zimbabwe international came in, and has largely been used as a right-sided number 10.
Pereira praised Munetsi for helping to improve Jorgen Strand Larsen last term, and is a big fan of the energy and tenacity he provides.
But Wolves signing Uche could put an end to his status as a regular starter for Wolves.
The Nigerian is extremely versatile.
In recent times, he has played both as a striker and an attacking midfielder.
But very interestingly, Uche has previously said his favourite position is as a defensive midfielder. He said (via Afrik-Foot NG in September 2024): “My favorite position is defensive midfield.
“When I started playing as a number nine in Getafe, it was against Real Oviedo in preseason. In the first half, I played in midfield.
“In the second half, the coach said to me, ‘Uche, can you play as a center forward?’ I didn’t hesitate, I just said okay. From there on, I started playing as a number nine.”
Some Wolves fans won’t mind Munetsi playing less
It remains to be seen if Wolves can get this move for Uche over the line.
But it would certainly be interesting to see what kind of impact it would have on Munetsi going forward.
Munetsi has shown he has a great engine, but plenty have questioned whether he is good enough on the ball. Against Brighton last season, Munetsi was criticised by fans, who felt his influence was lacking. And that wasn’t the only game.

He has also been very wasteful in front of goal during his time at Wolves. He scored that stunning goal against Brentford in the final game of 2024/25, but he’s also spurned many great chances.
The fact Uche can seemingly play anywhere in midfield and up front surely means Munetsi would have to massively raise his game in order to continue starting games.
