Wolves fans don’t have the best relationship with Morgan Gibbs-White, but there’s no doubting that the club may have made a mistake.

The concerning position of Wolves took away from any kind of atmosphere at Molineux on Wednesday night, as chants are now being replaced with boos.

Sadly, the defeat to Nottingham Forest gave Wolves the record of the worst start to a Premier League season in history. A title that supporters never could have imagined.

Many blamed Vitor Pereira for his managerial decisions at Wolves, and whilst there were some questionable ones, you can’t help but feel that this squad just isn’t good enough.

The fact that Rob Edwards even had to question whether his players were scared at half-time against Nottingham Forest just says it all.

Morgan Gibbs-White must look at Wolves and their current situation and be thankful every day that he managed to escape when he did.

Morgan Gibbs-White nominated for Premier League Player of the Month award

Morgan Gibbs-White rose through the youth ranks at Wolves and was once considered one of the most promising youngsters in the academy.

However, a lack of consistency when it came to game time and going unrewarded for good performances pushed Gibbs-White away from Molineux.

As much as Wolves fans hate to admit it, he’s proven to be a great addition for Nottingham Forest, which is backed up by his regular presence in the England squad.

And it gets worse, as the midfielder has been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month Award for November.

Morgan Gibbs-White joins the list of Wolves transfer mistakes

Morgan Gibbs-White, at the time, perhaps wasn’t a bad sale, given the Β£35m fee that was agreed. But his rise since leaving certainly points towards another mistake being made.

Vitinha is the obvious one that jumps out when you think of missed chances. Wolves declined the opportunity to sign Vitinha, stating they hadn’t seen enough from him.

Viktor Gyokeres is another example. Wolves failed to make a move for the Arsenal striker due to Jeff Shi being out of the country at the time before his move to Sporting Lisbon.

Lastly, Carlos Forbs has been on fire at his new club, Club Brugge. He received his first call-up to the Portugal national side and even scored a brace against Barcelona this season.
