Matheus Cunha kept quiet against Wolves in three bold predictions for Man United showdown

Wolves take on Manchester United on Monday as the Old Gold look to make it three wins from three against the Red Devils.

Last season saw Vitor Pereira win both fixtures against Ruben Amorim, but the two sides are in different places compared to back then.

Rob Edwards is now at the helm, and Wolves are yet to win a game this season.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are battling at the other end of the pitch for the European places.

The return of Matheus Cunha is sure to take the spotlight in the build-up, and he is part of one of our three bold predictions for Monday.

Matheus Cunha played for Wolves and Manchester United, and so has another current player at one of these clubs. Do you know who?

In total, eight players have played for Wolves and Manchester United since 1992. How many can you name? Let’s see who has the best ball knowledge. 💪

Wolves score a goal

Wolves have not scored in five Premier League matches.

However, against Ruben Amorim’s side, that is all going to change. The Man United manager has hinted that set pieces are his team’s kryptonite, and with the Old Gold possessing some tall strikers in their ranks, they could punish them.

Additionally, the Red Devils have not kept a clean sheet in seven matches, so surely this is the time for Wolves to break their goalscoring duck.

Let’s hope the writer’s curse does not come into action here.

STAT: Wolves have not registered a Premier League goal in 9 hours and 6 minutes of football. This includes added time at HT and FT. Marshall Munetsi’s strike against Burnley in October was the last league goal for the Old Gold.

Emmanuel Agbadou confirms he is back to his best

Emmanuel Agbadou has looked much better under Rob Edwards over recent weeks, but it remains to be seen if it is a permanent turnaround.

With another exceptional display at the back for the Old Gold, it would be safe to say that the Ivorian is back to his best.

With the likes of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo being fed balls from Bruno Fernandes, the central defender needs to showcase his talent to prevent them from dealing devastating blows at Molineux.

But there is a lot of encouragement he can provide for that.

Matheus Cunha to have a quiet return to Molineux

Matheus Cunha’s first time back at Molineux since joining Manchester United will be a tough evening for the Brazilian, who will struggle to make an impact.

Wolves’ home ground is a stadium he has had a lot of joy at, but he now arrives as a member of the opposition.

What kind of reception should Matheus Cunha get on Monday night?🤔

Cunha has not impressed Manchester United fans, and that will continue to be the case.

He will leave on Monday without any goals or assists and will be brought off as a substitute with the Red Devils searching for a goal.
