Wolves take on Brentford on Saturday afternoon as Rob Edwards looks to end the Old Gold’s misfortunes this season.
It has been one of the toughest campaigns for both the club and fans. Zero wins and just two points from 16 games have left little for fans to cheer about.
However, Chris Sutton believes that could change in his Wolves vs Brentford prediction.
At Molineux News, we are having a go at some predictions ourselves, with three bold, or perhaps audacious, predictions.
Can Wolves finally win a Premier League game this weekend?
The Bees have the recent advantage…
Mateus Mane gets another goal involvement

Mateus Mane is surely pushing to start for Wolves against Brentford. His cameo off the bench vs Arsenal changed the game for the Old Gold, and they were unlucky not to leave the Emirates with something.
His cross showed a lot of maturity; being able to produce an excellent ball into Tolu Arokodare in such a pressurised moment, and against one of the best teams in the Premier League, is not easy.
Mane is also brave on the ball, always looking to make things happen, and with Rob Edwards’ side looking for that sort of spark, it seems like a no-brainer.
Fans have been calling for the young talent to start more, but they are yet to see him from minute one in games. If Edwards gives him that trust, we predict he will reward him with either a goal or an assist.
Finish the sentence: The first player on Rob Edwards’ team sheet for Brentford must be ______.
Let us know which player simply has to start!
Wolves to score from a corner
When we said bold, we meant it, and despite Brentford’s prowess at defending corners, we are audaciously predicting Wolves to score one.
Brentford have conceded the fewest goals from corners this season, with just one going in against them.
However, if Rob Edwards starts Tolu Arokodare, then that aerial threat from set pieces can certainly threaten the Brentford goal.
Wolves have only scored one set piece themselves, so this may end up being wishful thinking.

First three points on the board for the Old Gold
This is perhaps Wolves’ best chance at a win before the turn of the New Year, and it would be disappointing to head into the second half of the season still on zero.
After facing Brentford, it is Liverpool and Manchester United away.

We are predicting that the Old Gold will finally pick up three points. With Brentford’s poor away record and Wolves’ strong performance against Arsenal last week, the stars are beginning to align.
What a Christmas present that would be for fans.
