A game of few chances saw Saturday night’s fixture versus Manchester United finish in a goalless draw.
It came as no surprise after recent results, that this would be a tight fixture. With both teams starting the game on the same number of points, both remain competitive for a top-four finish.
Wolves have only won once in their last six games. Although Wolves worked hard to push for three points, they remain level with United.

The game saw action from box to box with an entertaining display despite there being no goals.
Although Bruno Fernandes was awarded man of the match, fellow Portuguese midfielder Ruben Neves was in a class of his own.
Known for his attractive style of play, Neves continued to rule through the mist of red shirts in the middle of the field, creating a major threat to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
Neves played the full 90 minutes with a spring in his step. The pressure he applies, and his fast accurate use of the ball, makes him a standout player on any field.
Jamie Redknapp compared Neves’s performance after the game with the likes of Michael Carrick for the way that he passes the ball. “He [Neves] was the one midfield player who stood out head and shoulders for me.
“No disrespect to Wolves, but you can see him going to an elite level.”
This season has highlighted the question of Neves’s consistency, but Saturday’s fixture reminded everyone why he remains a crucial member of the squad.
Return from Injury:
Wolves fans will be delighted to see Diogo Jota and Willy Boly back in the starting line-up.
Boly has been out since October, after suffering a broken fibula. He returned to the field this Saturday, and his presence did not go unnoticed after helping Wolves achieve their first clean sheet since the start of December.
After taking a while to get back into the game, Boly looks as though he is on his way back to full recovery. Boly played on the right side of the back three, accommodating Roman Saiss’ left foot. It looks like this will now be Wolves’ favoured back three for the rest of the season.
Everyone will be happy to see Boly back in the squad.
After only playing 15 minutes against Liverpool, Jota made a return to the starting XI.
Jota has always been instrumental for Wolves and he was not shy to get back into the swing of things on Saturday.
His ability to run at players had most certainly been missed and, with an amazing run which saw him beat Harry Maguire, he was unlucky to not quite get the shot off.
Both returns were timely for Wolves and will strengthen the squad in different ways.
Next up for Wolves after their mid-season break will be Leicester at home. Wolves will go into the upcoming fixture with confidence as they now have a fully fit team and probably the strongest bench they have had all season.
