Gary O’Neil’s side will be eager to maintain their unbeaten start to pre-season, having won all three of their opening matches.

Gary O’Neil wants Jorgen Strand Larsen to score for Wolves against Crystal Palace
The West Ham victory was a cause for celebration for O’Neil, who witnessed his three newbies contribute to the goals against the Hammers.
Jorgen Strand Larsen and Pedro Lima recorded assists, while Rodrigo Gomes claimed a brace to steal the spotlight.
O’Neil has spoken highly of his new signings throughout the summer and reserved one wish he has for Strand Larsen when speaking on the E&S Wolves Podcast.
“Jorgen’s been fantastic, led the line in training sessions, his attitude [is good], you see him running behind willingly against West Ham, found spaces in behind.
“He’s a target. I’m keen for him to get his goal because he’s been scoring loads in training, his finishing is good, keen for him to get one in a game.”
It’s encouraging to learn that Wolves’ new number nine has been performing well in training, with the missing piece of his puzzle being a goal in a match setting.
Fortunately for the 24-year-old, the chance to score could come against Palace, giving the Norweigan the opportunity to make O’Neil’s wish come true.
Strand Larsen impact has already changed Wolves
The arrival of Strand Larsen was celebrated at Molineux as the former Celta Vigo talisman became the target man that O’Neil was craving last season.
Last term, the Norway international netted 13 LaLiga goals, impressing O’Neil and Matt Hobbs enough for the Old Gold to lure him to the Premier League.
By having the number nine in the squad, the manager has more than just a reliable goalscorer, as seen early into pre-season.
O’Neil has been granted the chance to change his favoured formation, reverting to playing four at the back to allow for more attacking options on the pitch.
As mentioned, the missing piece is for Strand Larsen to get off the mark, which the promising forward will be hoping to achieve against the Eagles.
