Wolves face Norwich City in the Premier League today, and John Ruddy could well come in to start and make a farewell appearance.

7 Transfers That DESTROYED Football Clubs

It’s five games without victory for Bruno Lage’s side, and the season is threatening to end with a real whimper.

Wednesday night saw Wolves put to the sword by Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola’s side won 5-1, with Kevin De Bruyne helping himself to four goals.

It was always going to be a tough game, and while City did play some sublime football at times, there was also some iffy defending on Wolves’ part.

Wolves should have an easier time against Norwich.

It will be interesting to see what kind of team Lage puts out.

And it would be no surprise to see Ruddy come in in place of Jose Sa, who has played every single league game so far this term.

Sa did not put in a particularly good display against City in midweek.

It could be that Lage takes this opportunity to play Ruddy who, of course, could leave when his contract expires this summer.

It is the last game at Molineux, and so if Ruddy is going to be moving on, then it can be something of a farewell game for him against his former club.

No surprise if John Ruddy starts for Wolves against Norwich in possible farewell appearance

Ruddy hinted recently that he could well leave.

He said: “I don’t play as much as I would like and I still feel that I have a lot to offer on the pitch.”

Following that, there was a report claiming Wolves would like to keep the veteran.

But he may wish to embark on a new chapter and if that’s the case, then it would be no surprise if Ruddy was given this game today.

And he absolutely should be, if he has made up his mind to depart.
